No reloading equipment at the gun show which was very unusual. I ended up going to a local business and got the rest of my tools and supplies. The only thing I'm missing is the projectiles which I ordered online.
Was sorely tempted to buy a Savage 10 BA Stealth in 6.5 creedmoor. Thought better of it since I budgeted for reloading supplies this time.
Finally Got that 1917 Enfield I was talking about a while back.

It's an Eddystone with a barrel date of 11-18 (the month the war ended, for the most part).
It still has the original blued finish and 5 groove barrel, and all parts appear to match. Only bummer is a hairline crack in the top handguard, but other than that she's in great shape. Rifling is nice and strong, though the grooves show a lot of crud which should clean out easy enough.
Finally found the muzzle device I want for my AR. Sadly, it's sold out everywhere. Strike Industries J-comp why do you taunt me so. Have some data. They've done 2 more tests, but for some reason don't sort them into categories.
I've been looking at handgun options lately, and I think I've settled on a CZ75 Compact. Points nicely, the trigger pull seems nice, and my palm doesn't hang off the grip like it does on some others.
What do you guys think? Are there any hidden flaws or quirks I should know about the gun?
Still not as good as the P07 IMO
Still not as good as the P07 IMO
I dunno, I kinda like that classic look of the 75. A rail would be nice, though, and the P07 is lighter.
Does it take CZ75 mags?
The P07 requires its own mags which are expensive. I do like the look of the classic CZ75 though.

Okay, yeah. Fifty dollars per-magazine is a no-go.
I'm still leaning towards the 75C. I can get magazines for a little over $20, and I don't plan on mounting a flashlight.
I wish I lived in a country where $50 for a magazine was too expensive.

50 AUD is around 36 USD. Not great, but not terrible.
50 USD is nearly 70 AUD. Would you be willing to pay that much for an individual magazine if you could find them cheaper?

Replacement 5 round magazines for my .22LR are $74.99 AUD.
To be honest, I wasn't even aware of how bad our currency is doing right now.
I shot my stores rental P07 and complained about recoil. It took someone else to tell me that "your gun is heavy as hell." to realize that my definition of recoil is heavily influenced by my CZ 75BD.
What do you guys think? Are there any hidden flaws or quirks I should know about the gun?
None that I know of. Remember to swap it to the decocker instead of the safety (which boils down to personal preference). Swap out factory grips to something with a non-tapered tops. I found the tapered tops of factory grips to screw up the grip of anyone I handed it to that wasn't used to it.

Holy mother of shit.

I'll probably end up preferring the 75C then. I've shot Glocks on a few occasions, they always feel like they're trying to back-flip out of my hands.

I'm looking to get a subcompact as a secondary. While I recognize that they universally suck, do any of them suck less to any reasonable degree? It generally needs to be a proper pocket gun.
Before anyone starts: No Glock 43. Also no revolvers.
I was tempted by the CZ 75 subcompact, but it is still a little sizable and pretty hefty. The Ruger LCP looks mediocre as fuck, but meets size and weight requirements. A Boberg would meet the requirements, but...I'm not sure I could take myself seriously anymore.
A CZ .22lr 10 round steel magazine is A$99.99 here in Adelaide. 5 Round 22mag steel magazines are A$79.99 each.

Mossberg plinker magazines are A$66 each

Get a P64 :v::v::v:
They make 80% glock lowers
hotdamn gonna git me a glock.
[editline]2nd January 2017[/editline]
On that note, can anyone link me a decent, yet affordable glock brand glockazineslidifyer? I want one completed so I don't have to actually assemble anything.
Anyone have experience with the EAA Witness in 10mm? I want one because it's relatively cheap and can handle full power 10mm as opposed to the Delta Elite.
I have a 9mm EAA Witness and it's a good little gun but I can't speak for the 10mm version. I imagine it runs fairly well as they're decently popular guns. I'm planning to buy a 10mm Witness Hunter some day.
Apparently my XT-22 can take any Marlin .22 magazine, so it could be cheaper looking elsewhere however if they're as shit as the one I got with mine it's nowhere near worth $75 (doesn't necessarily feed incorrectly or anything, but that fucker is a pain to load, i swear that thing has the most resistant spring in the world). Luckily magazines aren't a huge deal for me as I only shoot recreationally right now.
Also, slight correction, it's $75 for the 7 rounder, not 5.
[editline]2nd January 2017[/editline]
Speaking of my 22 I need to take it out again but I need to find a better range. Last one I took it to had friendly shooters but the staff were massive cunts (some of the range officers were alright though). There's one nearby that apparently lets you do whatever so long as you're being safe and all that.

omfg where to get front grip
omfg where to get front grip
Stag Arms has that on their website for sale as well. It's $45.
I wonder if the front grip will look OK on my MP15 with their stock or if I'm gonna have to get a shorter quadrail for it to be acceptable looking. :v:

I love my CZ RAMI but you have to have some decent pockets for it to fit...

Yeah I think it is a little too sizable. It either has to be an ankle mount or a pocket gun, unfortunately. I have kit preventing shoulder and waist.
I plan on buying a HK P2000SK eventually and I've liked them when I fondeled them

Yeah I have shit opinions on most carry pieces because I hate strikers.

Ever look at the P238/P938, P290 or P239? If you're anti-glock and need something ultra-small, then thats the way to go I think.
I'm not at all a fan of Subcompacts, but I do carry a glock 19 on a regular basis. Fits nicely on my side and never bites when I'm driving or sitting down. I've even taken it to the movies with me and it never bothered me at all.
I can agree with the Sig recommendation. I've fallen in love with my mom's P229 so much I highly considered saving up the 2 grande for my own 226. Though, that's coming from a 1911 fan, so a lot of polymer guns just aren't my favorite.
