Find a forum dedicated to firearm ownership in your state and post it on there. Generally those people are nice and will have above average records or CC permits. Examples are Indiana Gun Owners(INGO) and California Gun Owners(Calguns).
So this asshole with the Walther HP is ignoring me, so I'm about to message a guy with a Spreewerk P38 from 1944. Is $700 a reasonable amount to pay for a matching, original Spreewerk?

From what I understand, Massachusetts is kind of a special case. As much as AWBs are bullshit, at least those were passed with some semblance of due process. Massachusetts' is as well, but then the Attorney General decided to go full retard and unilaterally ban "copy-cat assault weapons", which can mean pretty much whatever anyone enforcing the ban feels like. It's arbitrary and deeply unconstitutional.
Unfortunately, I doubt this means they'll end up with a categorical ruling on AWBs. One can hope though.

And like I said I would, because asshole wouldn't answer my questions about his $550 Russian Capture Walther HP, I bought an all-matching Spreewerk P38 from 1944 for $720 from a guy who not only answered my questions, he seemed happy to help me buy his pistol. Now I just need to wait for the transfer to go through (which can take forever) and then him to ship it from BC, all the way across the country.
Gunshow is in town tomorrow. Time to look through overpriced hunting rifles, revolvers, shotguns, and overpriced knock off accessories. Hoping to pick up a new set of grips for my 1911 since my originals have a crack running the length of the grip.
