It was a Christmas miracle. There were tons of deals at the show. A table dedicated to premium hunting shotguns and rifles had guns that were either hard to find, or at a price that was very reasonable. $750 for a like new Browning BLR was the one I saw.
Picked up a set of French Walnut grips for my 1911, the top screws stick out since it's a little thin up there, but I don't care. It looks nice and I can shoot it once again.

This thing is fun as fuck. Also I'm a giant tool.

I put Ruger stickers on all my guns whether they're Ruger's or not because they're just such a good company. I think the Ruger sticker really improves the quality of my CZ.
Why would anyone buy a glock when an M&P with non-dogshit aesthetics and a much better trigger is available?
Also to my Denver gatpunchers, any recommendations on a range? I've been to a couple around me and non of them have really impressed me yet.
Why would anyone buy a glock when an M&P with non-dogshit aesthetics and a much better trigger is available?
Personally I bought Glocks over M&P's because of the reputation and feel in the hand. I also think the M&P's don't look as nice and timeless as Glocks, so the aesthetics are just a personal preference.
Why would anyone buy a glock when an M&P with non-dogshit aesthetics and a much better trigger is available?
Why should anyone buy an M&P; they'd have to upgrade the trigger on it to put it on par with a stock Glock trigger.
Besides, the SW9VE is the original Glock clone; the M&P is the evolution of that, and it shows.
IMHO, CZ P10C invalidates both options currently, only downside being availability (which will change) and magazine cost.

The M&P's trigger is hot garbage. Articulated triggers suck, the Glock has a better trigger. I also have a thing about hating mags with extra-large floor plates like the M&P's.
Can we all just agree that the 1911 in its pure, unadulterated form, as bestowed upon us by John Moses Browning, is the best CC pistol???
e: this was sarcasm ;(

I second that opinion. Also, check out these new French walnut grips.

I got to hear the ringing from a discharged M1 Garand clip hitting the floor for the first time outside of a video game at the range today. :weeb:
It was unmistakeable.

M&P's have one of the worst triggers ever put on a pistol. This isnt opinion, thats scientific fact. Why would anyone buy American made garbage when cheap Austrian pistols exist that are better in every way?

I didn't like the aussie pistols dug into my side. Litterly too square.
I dont mind my triggers in the full frame 9mm and shield. But I do have a issue with the sights.
I kid, I thought we were trying to trigger Cyke last night. :v:
(Though I do prefer the M&P triggers to glock triggers, probably because I learned to shoot on my mothers :v:)
I rented a G29 a couple months ago at a local range, probably going to pick it up when my tax return hits, hopefully I can then sign up for some CC classes. (I don't need them specifically in VA iirc, but still, I'd like to take one)
Eh, as far as polymer ~~~wonder 9s~~~ go, they're all pretty samey to me.
Is it me, or are images from photobucket not loading here?
I've narrowed down my ar15 search to either a m&p15 or buying an armalite, its possible the change out barrels and gas systems later right?
I've narrowed down my ar15 search to either a m&p15 or buying an armalite, its possible the change out barrels and gas systems later right?
Yes, but what would you replace it with?
I have an m&p 15 and for my first AR it is great, I didn't want some high end accuracy beast, just something fun to shoot and learn and for that it is great
I built my own AR15 because I wanted one in a non standard caliber and I wanted to pick what accessories I wanted.

Indoor, there is Douglas County Firearms in Castle Rock. Newer range, lots of rentals (including full auto and suppressed firearms).
There is also Centennial Gun Club, pretty much the same (and same price, $20/hr) and they've got a beltfed or two for rent, as well. Also, their storefront is amazing, the least sleazy looking shop I've ever been in.
Outdoor, there is Family Shooting Center inside Cherry Creek State Park. 25 yard pistol range, 50 and 100 yard rifle. They've also got archery and trap shooting there. One fee lets you in all day, can leave and come back and you're good. It's got a few range nazis there, which is a downside. They've had suicides there, so they are insanely protective.
well isn't the m&p15 a run of the mill bullshit-m4rgery with a 16" barrel with fixed FSB and stock carbine handguards? in my mind, that's a completely useless setup, you lose a lot of potential sight radius, handguard grabbing space, and accuracy.
just grind down the fsb and mount a free float hg on it. only thing you have to do is replace the barrel nut to fit the new handguard, unless it does use the stock barrel nut.
The M&P-15 is an M4 type rifle marketed at LEAs and civilians. It's almost certainly the best mass produced AR on the market in its price range. $700 gets you the M&P-15 Sport with the carbine handguards but for a little more you get a workhorse like mine with a quadrail setup that works perfectly out of the box.

If its digging into your side, try a more compact one or a different holster.

That's one reason why I was looking to replace the barrel, plus so I could get something with better twist rate than 1:9. If I don't get an M&P15 I was going to go for either this or this, since both of them are optic ready, look like I can switch out the handguards for something better easier, and have better twist ratios.
Would I have to change out the gasblocks on those rifles to stick a different longer handguard on it?
"This website is for U.S. customers only."
mind giving me the names of the rifles since those fascists won't let me see a website?
Bushmaster, Quick Response Carbine
And the other is an Armalite DEF15
Could also get an Aero Percision AC-15

Usually shoot on my own land or friends land but like ridge said centennial is really goddamn nice
I like FSC but whoo buddy the range nazi mentality is strong there. I got bitched at cause I was "rapid firing" (IE double tapping) my .300 blk AR on the rifle range
Bristlecone in lakewood is nice and the GF likes it cause tuesday they do 10$ ladies day from 10-5 and free after 5
The Ruger Blackhawk is larger than the original Peacemaker, right? I have a 1970s Armi Jager Peacemaker clone that's something like 25% larger and the hand keeps snapping and gunsmiths keep trying to put Pietta/Uberti hands in it even when I tell them not to and it works for a few days then breaks the hand again. I'm wondering if a Blackhawk hand might work with some fitting.
The old style blackhawk/vaquero is larger than the original peacemaker the new style is much closer in size to a peacemaker. if it's 25% larger or there abouts the old style blackhawk hand MIGHT work try calling/emailing this guy http://www.codyscowboyshop.com/ he does work on EMF's (armi jagers were imported by EMF) might be able to point ya in the right direction
