Hey, at least you NYCs and Californians can at least go to another state to fire some proper guns. I have to fly half way across Europe. : (
Honestly, the UK started going downhill firearms-wise when they wrote their current self-defense laws. If you really, really like guns and have good job prospects, do what this guy did and move to Switzerland: [editline]31st January 2017[/editline]
95% of europeans complaining about gun laws are too lazy and/or cheap to do something to get guns of their own. 5% really do have it bad. which category are you in?
Well, he's in the UK, so I'd say he's definitely in the latter category. No semi-automatic center-fire rifles, no pistols with a barrel length shorter than 12 inches (except for muzzleloaders), self-defense isn't a valid reason to possess, the licensing process for anything besides a shotgun with 2+1 capacity requires an interview with the police, a note from your doctor, three separate notaries and the still-beating heart of your firstborn son... oh, and your shit can be confiscated at any time if the government decides it's suddenly illegal because reasons.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/769Fo8f.jpg[/t] Picking up this kit today, whenever the dude im buying it from gets of work, gonna be friggin sweet!
How much is he asking, because that is expensive over here.
How much is he asking, because that is expensive over here.
700E, for everything included, roughly 3000 rounds fired.
That man is losing SO much money on that gun. Shadows have ridiculous resale value over here. It would be sold for double of what that guy is asking for.
Tell me about it lol, gonna go shooting with it tommorow, now i can finally get rid of the terrible thing that is the ruger sr22
here in europe CZ handguns are upper medium-tier in the market, a little above glocks. they're not really that expensive here.
That's pretty much where standard CZ models are here. $500-600.
I got the foreend for my SA-20 and the shell-change over. [t]https://i.gyazo.com/3c9b825650926eb172cae0ba1400fec7.jpg[/t] "I'll just get a foreend for a 930. They're like practically the same gun right?" - Retarded Me Anyway, I got it to work after a lot of effort. Looks p. Good to me.
Hey all, Building my first AR-15. I currently own a Remington 870 and a 10/22 for plinking. I'd like to own a rifle that I've built as my own, while also saving some money over buying a completed rifle from a shop. My overall budget is around $600, which could increase if need be. I've got 5 months before I turn 21, so I figured I could split the cost across those 5 months and order the lower on my 21st. Ive been looking at Palmetto State Armory for the deals, but was wondering if anyone has any pointers here for deals or general build philosophy.
That's pretty much where standard CZ models are here. $500-600.
It's the magazine cost that gets you over here. Factory mags here are around $50-ish, unless you buy them from Mec-Gar. That being said, I have no idea how much they're costing you Europeans :v:
Are you implying you can't complain about laws while owning guns? Go on then, tell me how i can legally get a semi-automatic weapon higher than .22 in England. Oh wait Well while you figure that out, i'll stick with my process to buy a SMLE.
Move from England to the US. No reason to live in a nanny state.
Did you support the bill the Andrew Cuomo will veto? https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2017/S879
I did support it and while the SAFE act should be completely repealed, this is a start.

They have stupidly good sales like half off their muzzle brakes, which are already cheap but good quality. Bought a muzzle brake and projector shroud for $35. It would have been $75 other wise.
Just found out about the Hudson H9. Might need to postpone my FAL. Looks like everything I want in a carry gun (except 9mm but I can get over that).
Just found out about the Hudson H9. Might need to postpone my FAL. Looks like everything I want in a carry gun (except 9mm but I can get over that).
I'm gonna wait for the reports to come in from early adopters.
Me too, yeah. But it looks promising enough that I'll sit on my gun money until I know if it's good or not. DSA won't stop making FALs any time soon. Ian seemed enthusiastic about it, so that alone is getting me hyped.

Ian definitely isn't the type to suck up to manufacturers, so if he thinks something has promise, I'd say it's definitely worth watching.
I'm thinking of getting an EAA Witness in 10mm, anyone here have any experience with them?
Yes. Do it. Get an Elite if possible or the Hunter 10mm. Building is easy, and can be done on the cheap if you wait on sales. Stick with Anderson or Aero Precision or Palmetto State for the stripped upper and lower. Get the stripped lower locally if possible. I got a blem PSA for $35. ~$470 gets you this, minus the Optics/mount. [t]http://i.imgur.com/rM2fVOo.jpg[/t] Oh, and I guess here's my 16 inch AR as it stands. Goes everywhere with me on the ranch. I love how I got a stainless adjustable gas block that hides under the Keymod rail, yet its still adjustable installed. (If you look closely, you'll see one Key is ground into a teardrop shape. The adjustment is under there.) Insanely low recoil, consistent lock back with steel Tula. I dailed this gun in for Tula. Anything stronger does overgass it technically but not to the extent that production guns are overgassed. Witness Hunters are sexy, bad ass guns. I want one but it's kind of OTT so I want to get all my practical guns out of the way first. Still, I got to play with one and it was awesome. The Witness in general is a great gun. I brought one back from the dead after it'd been abandoned in a desk drawer for 20 years, great little gun.
Took a DSLR out and took some pictures of a couple of my guns today. Still learning, but they came out well. Just the natural color. It's a dark, ashy gray wood. [editline]1st February 2017[/editline] too bad it's on a shit gun, though. c39v1 although I haven't had a single issue with it, the reputation haunts me
Just saw a petition on the whitehouse website requesting the repeal of the NFA. I'd shit a brick if that actually went somewhere tbh. Think the madmen on capital hill will try and pull it off? https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/repeal-nfa Holy shit there is one on the 1986 Hughes amendment too.

I don't hold high hopes that this will go anywhere, but hey, it's worth a shot. (heehee, shot)
Poor mans bullpup? Type 97 in 5.56 only $750 where I'm at. Seriously considering getting one between a Mossberg 590.

Plus you have easy access to cheap, good, Chinese ammo in Canuckistan. Go for it if you have the money.
I haven't shot one, but I got a chance to look at one. The ergonomics are absolute shit. The safety is that lever you see at the absolute ass-end of the gun and is basically inaccessible without taking the gun off your shoulder. You can also see the mag release in that picture, it's that button at the back of the mag well, just to the left of "T97NSR". This thing uses an AR-style push-button release in the stupidest place, which makes it nigh impossible to change mags with it still on your shoulder. The version that's $750 also doesn't have a full-length top rail like that one, it has an AR-style fixed carry-handle sight. The guns work, usually. There was one run that had the gas post over-drilled, so it left a divet in the bottom of the barrel. They also don't like the quasi-legal .50 Beowulf mags, but the LAR-15 mags seem to work fine, so you can at least get 10 rounds out of it. Overall it's a cheap-ass gun that's going to likely be more of a range toy than anything. Don't expect anything better than 2MOA out of it, and while you could take it out for coyote, don't expect to hit them past about 200m with any kind of reliability. When they were $1000 that was way too much. At $750 it's tempting, but I still think I'll hold off. I don't really have the space for one anyways. If someone were to offer me one for $500, then maybe I'd take it. Also if you're left-handed don't bother. This gun is for right-handed shooters only, as there is absolutely no way of changing the ejection post to the other side. Some Chinese .308 has popped up, but it's been a while since Chinese 5.56 has been available. We can still get MFS/Barnaul steel-case stuff that costs about the same per 1000 as 9mm does, but obviously it's not reloadable, and will wear out the barrel faster.

I feel sorry for the poor conscripts who have to qualify on the thing.
