Aiight, thanks. Probably won't be able to hop on that deal just for fun then as my shop isn't open until Tuesday.
I might go back and get the P38 too. I just put that M14 on lay away. You have to understand with that M14, that is easily worth $1200 at least with the condition. It's essentially from a time capsule, EVERYTHING is there and original [editline]11th February 2017[/editline] I'm considering just flipping it. It's unfired for sure, I've always wanted an m14 but i would feel awful if I shot it.
Guns are made to be shot man You shouldn't leave the P38, I'd kill to find one that cheap in any condition
I agree with that sentiment but when you have a gun that's not even made anymore in perfect collectors edition, I doubt I will. I might just get a M1A with it. Or anything really, it's worth a lot
bought my first carry pistol today. a Ruger LC9S Pro
JG sales has surplus 92S's for 250$ cheap italian BLAT BLAT I bought one even if it's beat to shit fuck it
Oh man let us know how that turns out, ive had this naggling desire for a surplus berretta in the back of my head for months.
Guns are made to be shot man You shouldn't leave the P38, I'd kill to find one that cheap in any condition
I just got a cyq matching one for $720 canuckbucks. The transfer just cleared too, on a Saturday of all days! The guy's gonna ship it out Monday.

With the God Emporer in his rightful place now, we may see them again in the next few years.
So sell it fast!
I say keep it. Its still a kick ass rifle and $800 for the best M-14 out there is unbeatable.
So here's a question for you guys. I'm fitting my Aimpoint on my new CZ Evo and no matter what I do, I can't seem to co-witness the red dot with the irons. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Using the stock irons. [editline]11th February 2017[/editline]
ijdgi, you would think that making a decent semi auto trigger is as easy as taking an original one and removing the auto trip lever and filling in the shelf for it on the hammer? design-wise, i mean, obviously not just jerryrigging a full auto trigger. really hard to wrap my head around why e.g. the crapco one has two hooks and is just all around weird. [editline]11th February 2017[/editline] do the civilian ak triggers even have the nice little bushing around the trigger axle pin?
Chinese AKs have double hook triggers as well, and they're reported the best stock triggers of any AKs. Tapco makes a single and double hook trigger. You don't file on sear engagement surfaces to make them better; triggers are bout engagement angles. All semi-auto AK triggers are not garbage, in fact the ALG AKT may be the best AK trigger out there considering what you get for $45. CMC and Elftman make $2-300 single stage AK triggers that don't make sense in an AK.
They still make the M14s, theyre just not imported anymore, IIRC. With the God Emporer in his rightful place now, we may see them again in the next few years.
I thought they were just another rifle killed off by the import ban. Maybe I'm wrong.
I thought they were just another rifle killed off by the import ban. Maybe I'm wrong.
They still sell for like $500-$700 in Canad@.
So Im guessing those guns arent legal either. Why would you even bring gun politics into this thread when youre handling illegal firearms?
the guns are completely legal. 2 single shot .22lr rifles, one .222 rifle, a single shot .410 and a single shot 12 gauge. even the lever action is legal, its just impossible to find anyone who supplies the ammunition for it nearby and its expensive. not sure what cartridge it takes. they did have a shotgun that was supposed to be surrendered but they've gotten rid of it. the illegal things they have are a still they make strong moonshine with (dunno if they have a license but you need a license for distilling spirits) and some weed that was planted on the property but we cant find it. [editline]12th February 2017[/editline] and they are all registered class a or b firearms, they live on a remote rural property.
Using the stock irons.
They're pretty accurate so far. But now I have another problem with the RDO. One of the screws stripped out the metal threading on the optic so I need to send it off for repair.
where did i talk about filing? filling with two Ls, as in the engagement shelf on the front of a milspec hammer that engages the auto trip lever. to avoid any ATF bumfuckery about "full auto parts". obviously it makes sense that a rifle shot x thousand rounds is more broken in than a civilian AK in the US that gets shot at most a thousand rounds a year. the thing that confuses me the most is the designs of the firing group axle pin retaining spring. the "shepherd's hook" design as well as plates seem weird as fuck, having fought with the milspec ones a couple of times they are a PITA but they work very well
In US AKs, they don't really care about the trigger and hammer so much as having the third pin hole, pin, rate reducer, auto sear, etc. They send you the trigger groups when you buy kit builds, it's really just a matter of 922r compliance as the reason for replacing them. To answer your earlier question, not all AK triggers have the trigger pin sleeve; for example the Tapco does while the ALG doesn't.
Well my .380 as a gun is working better, but one mag is messed, and another has some issues maybe Iunno. Either way the gun has improved dramatically and will hopefully sell now.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/O00caFS.jpg[/t] too tactical? The Romeo4 just fits next to the optic on a 45 degree thorntail. It just keeps getting heavier. Colion Noir was right. Took the RFB apart last night after a range visit to clean and lube it. It probably has 800 rounds through it now. [t]http://i.imgur.com/dTufVML.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ps6zblj.jpg[/t]
So, word on the street is that Kalashnikov USA is supposed to start making classic AKs sometime after Fall of this year. Now that I think about it, I have been getting the AK itch...

I'm really considering picking up an RFB one of these days, but goddamn that rust. How do you protect against that aswell? Lube like once a day?

The bolt was matte black, coated in carbon, until I wiped it all off and it shined like gold again. I'm really liking the finish on it.
Woo! My pistol upper came in today! [t]http://i.imgur.com/qWe5T2y.jpg[/t]
waiting for the HMG STG gonna start saving
Woo! My pistol upper came in today! [t]http://i.imgur.com/qWe5T2y.jpg[/t]
Man. I really, really want SBRs removed ffrom the NFA. There are a bunch of """"""Pistol braces"""""" that look fine nowadays, but I'd like to be able to shoulder it on a public range without thinking that some nit picking dickhead will get me thrown to the atf and have my doggo blasted. Not to mention it'd make it a lot easier to throw an AR under my backseat for a truck gun.
Australian gun laws could be much, much worse. Sure, unfortunately you can't get semi autos or autos, and handguns are restricted as with what you can do with them, but I live in Melbourne (basically considered the most left, anti-gun cities) but I've got 6 rifles and it really wasn't that hard to get them. It's still fucked compared to other countries but it could be way worse.
True, but I'll still never understand the logic that dictates I can only shoot a handgun on a handgun range but i can shoot a rifle almost anywhere on private property.
I think most of the logic has to do with concealability, if I had to hazard a guess. LE doesn't care so much about long guns and shotguns because they're much more difficult to conceal and they expect they'll get 20 calls in as many minutes if someone shows up with a shotgun or rifle somewhere, whereas a handgun is effortless to conceal right up until it's time to show your boss what you really thought of that write up. I don't agree with it, but if there's any logic to be had at all, that's where I'd put my money
True, but I'll still never understand the logic that dictates I can only shoot a handgun on a handgun range but i can shoot a rifle almost anywhere on private property.
Yeah it is definitely dumb because this kind of shit wouldn't stop some insane fuckwit from going and shooting shit up if he wanted to.

I love how sig keeps making them more and more like stocks. Don't worry ATF, they're braces ;).
