Kamelot has been my favourite band since I first discovered music.
They started out as straightforward power metal with a medieval sound, but began evolving when Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined. From then they got faster and more melodic, culminating in their masterpieces: 'Epica' and 'The Black Halo', two concept albums loosely based on the Faust legend. Since then they've gone in a new direction, incorporating a more symphonic sound with darker themes to their latest albums. They just released a new album 'Poetry For The Poisoned', their most gothic album yet.

I don't really favor one band. I listen to a lot of stuff.
Cage the Elephant, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Queen... Then newer genres are more like Opeth, System of a Down, Three Days Grace.
Hell there is a lot, Porcipine Tree, The Beatles, you get the idea.
I've been into John Mayer for quite a while now, went to one of his concerts over the weekend with the opening act of Train, it was incredible.
But no band in my book will top The Beatles, which can plainly be seen in my name.
