Could of died
Could have died

the internet isn't a proper place, if people don't want to take the time to have proper grammar on the internet, you can't force them to.
I hate this thread its very dumb
i know i could of ignored this thread but i wanted to give you an internet lesson :(
Please add something about comma splices, and how FPers need to stop using them in place of colons in thread titles.
e.g.
"Dogs, nature's awesomest animals"
"Ghosts, are they real?"
etc
I hate it and I want to permaban everyone who does it
You don't have to perma ban them.
I think 80's can be acceptable, but technically there shouldn't be an apostrophe.
Okay, that makes sense. And if you're saying that there are multiple people with the same name, would it be something like 'Billys'?

No.

Continue to say it the wrong way if you want.
How about the way too often misspelled word "Definitely"?
Okay, that makes sense. And if you're saying that there are multiple people with the same name, would it be something like 'Billys'?
Yep.
This isn't a grammar megathread but I do agree with you, this is just a thread for the it's and its mistakes and the one James reminded me of.
you're gay

As funny as this is, Facepunch has really helped me improve my typing/spelling skills overall in the past three years than school has. Especially when Smartness was around I quickly learned the difference between There, Their, It's, It's, etc.

I think this is proof that FP is full of nerds.

If you went through any decent elementary schooling, you should have known the difference 10 years ago. But since you have a "Breaking Bad" avatar, I won't make a big deal out of this.

Haha thanks. But I rarely used the words much throughout those times and use to get confused between the two.
Continue to say it the wrong way if you want.
I say it either way.
There is no "wrong" way as long as people understand you.
Language isn't a black and white, yes or now, true or false answer sheet.
It's a giant white canvas, just waiting for colors.
I always thought "it" was the object, and it was possessive. Like it is possessing the shit. I'm bad at explaining this, but it makes sense, okay?
Look, when Bob possesses something, it is "Bob's". When "It" is possessing something, shouldn't it be "It's"??
People know the difference beetween "its" and "it's" but they are too lazy to use the 's. You can anyway see whether the writer means it is or its if you read the whole phrase.
Might aswell go the full monty if your going to bother.

This is an internet forum. It isn't surprising.

No. That's poetry.
Why are you telling us all something we already know? Most of facepunch is just too lazy to follow these rules.

It works both ways in many situations. I don't know why something so insignificant is affecting you so much

Go ahead and fill a job application or CV with awful grammar
we all know this, we're lazy.
i mean the apostrophe key is ALL THE WAY OVER THERE
it's also the reason i don't capitalize.

Someone's mad they didn't know something taught to 13 year olds.
I'm squeezing a nasty spider bite on my stomach as painful as it is to clear the wound of its shit
