A grammar lesson for Facepunch - regarding "it's" and "its" - General

Could of is such a stupid one to complain about Could of died Could have died to me, they both sound fine

deal w/ it nerde the internet isn't a proper place, if people don't want to take the time to have proper grammar on the internet, you can't force them to. I hate this thread its very dumb i know i could of ignored this thread but i wanted to give you an internet lesson :(

This isn't a grammar megathread but I do agree with you, this is just a thread for the it's and its mistakes and the one James reminded me of.

As funny as this is, Facepunch has really helped me improve my typing/spelling skills overall in the past three years than school has. Especially when Smartness was around I quickly learned the difference between There, Their, It's, It's, etc.

I always thought "it" was the object, and it was possessive. Like it is possessing the shit. I'm bad at explaining this, but it makes sense, okay? Look, when Bob possesses something, it is "Bob's". When "It" is possessing something, shouldn't it be "It's"??

People know the difference beetween "its" and "it's" but they are too lazy to use the 's. You can anyway see whether the writer means it is or its if you read the whole phrase.

Might aswell go the full monty if your going to bother.

we all know this, we're lazy. i mean the apostrophe key is ALL THE WAY OVER THERE it's also the reason i don't capitalize.
