Rumor has it that he was the one who declined a demo build of Devil May Cry 5, and that he was responsible for Bad Box Art Mega Man being put into Street Fighter x Tekken.
Rumor? Not sure about Devil May Cry 5, although he was the one that encouraged outsourcing to western devs, but it's true that he had Bad Box Art Mega Man put in SFxT as a joke to coincide with Mega Man Universe. It was meant to be a fandom gag thing at how infamous the bad box art was, but then Universe got cancelled while he remained in SFxT, and the fans took it out of proportion without context as if Capcom was mocking the Mega Man fanbase because of the bad timing shortly after Legends 3 was cancelled. Also, Inafune walked out from Capcom because according to what he said (which may or may not be true), they were going to lay him off right around that time anyway, so he chose to walk. I love the Mega Man series and I hate Capcom, but it's more than just for Mega Man after they do nothing but Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, ports of old games and mobile phone titles. Not to mention the numerous stories of their employees being overworked to a level akin to the infamy of workplace overload and stress Japan's salarymen are known for. The company's completely scummy now. Yet they'd never sell off Mega Man, because even if he's not a money maker anymore, he's still part of their brand and one of the star mascots for the company - and the Japanese don't like fucking over their honor and reputation by selling such things off.
