Only remake I've liked is Funny Games
That was a pretty funny movie.
Alien? :raise:
Isn't it gonna be a prequel?
They can't remake Alien, that's like remaking a piece of cinema and sci-fi history. Might as well remake fucking 2001 or ET.
And I liked the War of the Worlds remake. The Spielberg one. And Dawn of the Dead was alright. But they fucked up the zombies by making them fast.

You have no soul :(

You have no sense of humor.
Common it was a comedy, you're supposed to laugh at it!
Right?
They're remaking The Blob?
Quarentine was lame, the original, REC., is way WAY better

Spielberg's War of the Worlds was great, the Dawn remake was a shitty gorefest.
There was an Alien remake?
They aren't remaking alien. They changed their mind and made it into a prequel that's being done by the guy that created the series, Ridley Scott. That's good news.
They make more money that way, everybody wants to watch something they remember as a kid.
I am from Hollywood. Thank you for your wonderful input.
Due to your request to not remake old movies, we will make sure that all our screenwriters are informed of this new ruling. Please be advised that it will take approximately 6-8 weeks for your request to become fully acknowledged and please keep in mind of the potential hundreds of billions of dollars of lost revenue we are going to take just to make you happy with our industry.
Wait, what? They're remaking Alien? Why the fuck would you want to remake Alien? It looks like a modern film, if you ignore the shitty computers. The mechanical alien looks better than most modern CGI! What the fuck would remaking it do? It's not like it looks shit now, it still looks awesome! GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I HATE YOU FOX I FUCKING HATE YOU AND WANT YOU ALL TO DIE GAAAAAAAAH!
They're not. Ridley Scott is directing a prequel.
Punisher
No, those are all series re-vamps. All three of them are separate movies, not remakes of each other.
Alien? :raise:

For awhile it was rumored to be a remake. And then Ridley Scott's brother announced a prequel being done by some director no-one heard of. Only recently was it announced Ridley Scott would be the director.

Like they actually care with the few people that have good taste for movies
If it's selling it's ok
From time to time they come up with some good shit to hide their fail from the critics
Sorry if I'm mistaken, but that's my opinion
They're remaking The Blob?
No, there was a blob remake in the 80's based on a 40's or 50's blob film.
Unless there's something I haven't heard yet.
Oh my god, they ruined Phelam 123 when they turned it into a action movie
Star Trek (Okay, that was fucking epic)
:downs: What
The Blob remake was awesome. So was John Carpenters the Thing remake. So was Christopher Nolan's remake of Insomnia. Hell, as long as Hollywood gets one right every now and then I'm more than willing to sit through a couple shitty remakes.
Therefore we should stop sequels from being made?
It relates to how every remake seems to go into a different genera entirely mostly I.E. an action movie.
Quarentine was lame, the original, REC., is way WAY better
I thought that they were both really good. I saw Quarantine before REC, though. I had the belief going into it that Quarantine would be shit because it's a remake and all this, but it's a real good movie in my opinion. Most people just say it's shit because of the bandwagon.

Edit:
I'm stupid, The Thing is a remake.
what was I am Legend a remake of I forget
what was I am Legend a remake of I forget
It wasn't. it was an adaptation of some book.
what was I am Legend a remake of I forget
The Omega man. And that was based on a book called "I am legend"
The Blog remake was awesome.
Lol, a horror movie about blogging. Some day.
Except David Cronenberg's The Fly remake.
That's a masterpiece.
The Omega man. And that was based on a book called "I am legend"
And The Last Man On Earth, which was almost a direct adaption of the book.
Way better than that Will Smith trash.
They remade The Thing?
No, john carpenters thing was a remake.
