They should go back to using stop motion clay models. :c00l:
This isn't fucking hollywood, go post on imbd
Star Trek wasn't a remake. It was AMAZING!
Idea -> book/comic -> movie -> remade movie -> game -> MMO
They aren't remaking alien. They changed their mind and made it into a prequel that's being done by the guy that created the series, Ridley Scott. That's good news.
Finally, we'll know where that bastard derelict ship that fucked humanity in the ass came from.
[editline]07:10PM[/editline]
I can only stand 15 minutes of the Willy Wonka remake.
You cannot replace the original actors, especially Gene Wilder.
Finally something we agree on.
Gene Wilder is unbeatable.
We aren't hollywood, and the OP watched the latest AVGN videos.
Acutally it was his old ones. The ones where he reviews old sci fi films and their remakes
[editline]08:16PM[/editline]
And Star Trekt movie... Ugh... Special effects showoff and terribly generic.
Never saw that... But Star Trek was the best movie I ever seen in my life. You should see it.
Idea -> book/comic -> movie -> remade movie -> game -> MMO
I wish Twilight didn't skip Remade Movie. That way it wouldn't be fucking up our games world..
Come to think about it. I wish they didn't even have the idea
Ocean's Eleven was a pretty good remake.
But the original did lose some it's credibility when they said "For the same reason we never went to the moon"
Gahhhhh, stop the remakes and horrible sequels please. :(
I found out today that they're making a sequel to White Chicks.
Why Hollywood, why?!
I am Legend isn't technically a remake, if it was The Omega Man then it would be.
Star Trek wasn't exactly a remake. It was more of alternate story.
Some remakes are way better than the original though. Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living dead being good examples. The Night of the Living Dead remake was almost exactly the same, save for a different (albeit worse) ending. Over all, the 1991 remake of Night of the Living Dead was far better than the original.
And the original Dawn of the Dead just wasn't all that great. It's remake, while a bit dumb, was at least pretty darn entertaining.
Also, I'd totally go see another Evil Dead movie if they brought back Bruce Campbell. I don't care if he's older and out of shape, it'd still kick butt and you know it.
I wasn't aware that any hollywood producers or actors were on facepunch?
I wasn't aware that any hollywood producers or actors were on facepunch?
Fun Fact, I'm actually Mel Gibson.

Oh no you didn't!
I love Tom Savini's remake of Night (he's Tom Fucking Savini) but I will never accept Dawn Of The Dead remake as anything other than a retarded action movie with no substance for Halo playing, ADD riddled fratboys.
What the hell the new Dawn of the Dead is a modern classic
[editline]11:12PM[/editline]
It wasn't scary. As Romero said "Zombies running at me isn't scary"
hahaha what
Zombies are scary?
And plot.
The book was about Neville's loneliness, but they fucked that all up by putting the dog in from the start.
And I hate how the VAMPIRES are portrayed more as zombies, or "the infected", as if the film is embarassed about the having vampires.
So in the original they weren't just zombies with a aversion to light? Because real old school vampires sound like they could pass for zombies anyway, none of this Dracula stuff.
Fun Fact, I'm actually Mel Gibson.
It's totally true.
Dawn of the Dead and War of the worlds was freakin' epic, what are you talking about?
Dawn of the Dead and War of the worlds was freakin' epic, what are you talking about?
War of the Worlds was shit compared to the older/musicals.
No.
You're mistaken.
George A Romero made the original, Zack Snyder remade it but without the same characters, location, plot or zombies.
Why do they even call it a remake?
Cause it has zombies and a mall.
Oh and don't forget the Batman movies... those were utter shit...
So in the original they weren't just zombies with a aversion to light? Because real old school vampires sound like they could pass for zombies anyway, none of this Dracula stuff.

They weren't mutated, grey, bald creatures that jumped around like retards.
They were vampires. They looked like they did in life, they had fangs, they hated garlic, mirrors and religious symbols.

They were also quite intelligent.
And the original Dawn of the Dead just wasn't all that great. It's remake, while a bit dumb, was at least pretty darn entertaining.
It's the House of the Dead movie with a higher budget. It doesn't even have the same storyline, and nowhere near the same depth as the original, the entire movie is nothing more than an excuse for extreme gore and tits.
creators of remakes should achieve a perfect balance of keeping true to the original, while adding new things
Did you just watch James Rolfe's new videos?
i thought haloween was a sequel? doesnt it start right after the events of h1?
forgive me if i'm wrong.
Quarentine was lame, the original, REC., is way WAY better
Kinda sad that the Americans who don't go on the internet think its original...
