Damn that's expensive. Over here it's 8 euros a gram.
Damn that's expensive. Over here it's 8 euros a gram.
aren't euros around 2 USD?
An 1/8th is meant to be 3.5g. More accurately 1/8ths should be called score bits, because they normally weigh 2.2-3g and cost a score or score five (£20 or £25)

I can get an 8th of decent middies (one chillum to the face = blitzed) for $15
So when some dealers say they have some real nice chron, they say something like "yeah the eighth is not gonna be as fat because it's more expensive" or something along the lines of that, don't they realize that if I ask for an eighth I want 3.5g, if it's more expensive then tell me that and charge me more, don't undercut me
People are stupid, my friend [editline]17th February 2011[/editline]
An 1/8th is meant to be 3.5g. because it's an eighth of an ounce The price of an eighth can change, but the weight never does. Come on, guys. Why all this confusion over semantics? This is easy shit. An eighth is 3.5 grams. If it isn't 3.5 grams, it isn't an eighth, regardless of whatever someone calls it...
I pay $30 for 3.5g of weed, $20 for 2g. If I got any less than 3.5 when i asked for an eighth I'd be pissed, not like it'll ever happen where I live though.

I'm asking how much do you get for £20 GBP or in the US I don't know what 3.5G would actually be worth in USD.
Street prices around here: - $50-$60 (USD) for an eighth of dank - $30 (USD) for an eighth of middies But, if you have good connects, you can get it much cheaper than that. [editline]17th February 2011[/editline] And eighths are ALWAYS 3.5g or we're not hitting that guy up again [editline]17th February 2011[/editline]
Okay a lot of people seem to be misunderstanding me, Yes an 1/8th is 3.5g, but When you get an 1/8th where I live or the price of an 1/8th anyway you get different weights.
You seem to be misunderstanding drug dealing. You either buy by weight or you buy by price. If you ask for an eighth, you are asking for 3.5 grams and you are telling the guy that you're willing to pay his most reasonable price for those 3.5 grams. If you're only looking to drop a certain amount of money, you ask for a price-specific baggy (nickel, dime, dub, etc)
High grade (Usually Amnesia or some form of Kush): 20 pounds per 1.5g Medium grade (Always blue cheese): 20 pounds per 2.5g Low grade: Don't need to buy it so I don't really know the weight. (Just a note that a eighth in London does not mean the same thing as a eighth in say, California, where I payed 65 dollars for 4g's.)

It should weigh 3.5g but rarely does, if you ask most dealers the weight will tell you the weight, I've had dealers tell me that their bags weigh 2.8 or whatever when i've asked for an 8th. Apparently in a town a few miles down the road, it's pretty much standard that all weed is sold in £25 bits all weighing 3.0 grams. An 1/8th in dealer speak means a £20 bit, not 3.5 grams. You'll honestly be hard pushed to find a dealer who serves up at 3.5 grams (unless you're close to them). [editline]17th February 2011[/editline] It's not a question of weight but language to tell the truth.
Bro, it's called an eighth because it's an eighth of an ounce. When you ask to buy an eighth, you're asking to buy an eighth of an ounce. You're asking to buy 3.5 grams. I'm not asking for a fucking twenty-sack, I'm asking for a goddamn eighth. An eighth to any reputable dealer means 3.5 fucking grams /thread
Look guys, this isn't fucking rocket science. If you ask for an 8th and it's not 3.5 GRAMS OF WEED. NO MATTER THE GODDAMN PRICE, IT'S NOT AN 8TH. Jesus. If it's less than 3.5g, don't call it a goddamn 8th [editline]17th February 2011[/editline] ninja'd
I realise it's not an 8th if it doesn't weigh an eighth of an ounce. It's just that an 8th is universal language for a bag of weed that's bigger than a tenners and costs about £20. I'm not disputing what you guys are saying, it's just what the OP meant by how do you 8ths weigh.
Um yes you are because it's not a universal name for a bag of weed bigger than tenners or costing about $20, it's the universal name for 3.5 grams of weed and I don't understand how you don't get that
I understand exactly what you're saying. I'm just trying to explain what the OP meant by his question. It may just be a regional thing.

However I pay neither 20 pounds nor 31 CAN dollars for an eighth, I pay $30 CAN. I don't see how anyone couldn't understand that an eighth of weed only refers to the weight 3.5g not any price tag.
I'm not disputing how much an 1/8 is by definition is. I'm saying what 1/8th means to people (at least around here and to dealers when you ask for an 8th)
When I ask my dealer for an eighth, I get 3.5g's. What the fuck are you talking about.
When I ask my dealer for an eighth, I get 3.5g's. What the fuck are you talking about.
1/8th around where I live isn't an 1/8th its being used as a general term for a henry(£20 worth) which the weight varies depending on the dealer.
3.5 that shits universal [editline]18th February 2011[/editline] what the fuck someone already said this fuck
1/8th around where I live isn't an 1/8th its being used as a general term for a henry(£20 worth) which the weight varies depending on the dealer.
Then call it a goddamn henry, not an 8th
OK, let's end this thread. Doozle is simply saying that in the UK, 20 pounds worth of weed is known, in some places, as an "eighth". Just like in the US, a $10 bag is known as a "dime". He realizes that an eighth is also used as a system of measurement for weight. The problem here is semantics and regionality. So let's all shut the fuck up about it. /thread
Then call it a goddamn henry, not an 8th
But only because it's short for Henry the Eighth. I can and usually get an eighth (3.5g) for $40 of some really nice homegrown medical grade stuff which usually goes for $60 at the dispensary.
damn yorkshire is full of idiots. also, quarter of middies for me = 25$
I get 3gram beasters for 20. So I pay $5-8 a gram unless it's dank. It's 20 a gram of purp or kush. But hey, that's that.
Around here an 8th of OG/White Widow is $55, chronic is $30, and stress is $20
1/8th around where I live isn't an 1/8th its being used as a general term for a henry(£20 worth) which the weight varies depending on the dealer.
1\8th = 1\8th of an ounce 20$ worth = dub\20 sack\"henry"
