Like a quarter of a second flash in the Contingency video that shows a slide stating that "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU... TO SAY GOODBYE WITH PRIDE"
And how a single pair of quotes makes the hoax apology card seem completely fucked up, leaving you with a bunch of theories as to what the fuck just happened.

it's alright when done tastefully, Local 58 goes overboard sometimes since the VHS effects wouldn't be that heavy.
This did not really do anything for me.

the first video is kind of a premise i've seen too many times, even if it's well done
would have been much better if instead of a shitty monster roar it was just pounding on the windows or something
less is more when it comes to unsettling content.

Basically the moon is 'bout to start some shit, looking at it (or even a reflection) would fuck you up. People are advised to hide somewhere with no windows nor mirrors. A lot of Straub's work seems to have lore that spiderwebs together, either getting retooled for use in Broodhollow or having tenuous connections to other earlier stories ('Channel 58' in Candle Cove being Local 58). I wouldn't be surprised if Fastest Available Route is a nod to the Stillwoods King story in his Ichor Falls anthology book. Really, check his stuff out. The mans got a knack for assembling horror stories in different formats and mediums.
I'm kinda tired with these types of videos. Weather or not they do end up coming out good they are really cliche. As mentioned before the video effects make them cheap and cheesy but the cliffhanger endings and stuff that makes no sense to the viewer just so the watchers can speculate the video to hell and back as to make it trend just doesn't really seem interesting anymore. Everyone's now done it.
