You've never borrowed a CD? Not even from a family member? Something is wrong here.

Your avatar is infringing on someone's copyright.
EVERYONE pirates. Except the Amish.

I doubt that.
[editline]10:35PM[/editline]
Everyone either borrows a CD or buys secondhand something at least once
Never borrowed a CD, and, though I have bought second-hand games, I avoid them as much as possible. Stop being presumptuous.
Being presumptuous is something I can afford to do when my accusation includes something only the Amish don't do.
Finding a cd is stealing it.

Excuse me for listening to music very rarely.
Excuse me for listening to music very rarely.
You've never even bought something secondhand? Ever?
Because you know, since money isn't getting to the manufacturer, it must be stealing!

whoa, you don't listen to music?
I might be wrong, but I was reading some article a while back about this and I thought it would basically make the ISP's responsible for what their users do? So then ISPs would stop their customers, not so much the government? But again it was awhile back and I don't know how reliable the source was, but it was a pretty scary read nonetheless...
Punkbuster reserves the right to scan your computer for any illegal content and report it to the government also. /off topic
Any link to an article about this? I tried google'n it but couldn't find anything...
what if your local music store doesn't sell the music you listen to
what now?
uh oh the local car dealer doesnt have the car I want
better steal it

Good job reading my post. I do buy games/movies/whatever second hand, but only when they're not in print any more. OK, sure, I guess that that'd fall under that categorization of stealing, but I assure you buying a used out-of-print item is an entirely different scenario from pirating a new release.

So do you think pirating a game like Vampires Masqaurade: Bloodlines would be ok :v:
Or the old doom games?
What is ok to pirate to you?
Guys your not supposed to steal or pirate anything. Only major corporations are allowed to do that.

I admit I draw the line at abandonware. That's questionable grounds, since no one owns the rights, and OK, sure, maybe that makes me a hypocrite. It still doesn't make piracy OK.
Oh, and of course Doom and Bloodlines aren't OK to pirate, you can still buy both from Steam. When I say "out-of-print" I mean in any medium.
Have you ever borrowed a book from the library? You're a DIRTY PIRATE!
I believe pirating is a sales pitch.
Gives you a "sample" of the file, letting people to buy it later. This is just pure idiocy.
uh oh the local car dealer doesnt have the car I want

Terrible logic.
If you want to stop pirating, you'll have to shut down the Pirate Bay. Good luck.
If you want to stop pirating, you'll have to shut down the Pirate Bay. Good luck.
There are literally shitloads of other torrent sites.
If you want to stop pirating, you'll have to shut down the Pirate Bay. Good luck.
And the pirate bay is less a forum and more a script.
So is google, yahoo, ask, bing, and others.

:bandwagon:
The pirate bay is not the main soucre of torrents but it is a big one. Demonoid and some other sites are much bigger.
There are literally shitloads of other torrent sites.
literally shitloads? like actual loads of shit?
literally shitloads? like actual loads of shit?
3.64 metric tones of shit.
Have you ever borrowed a book from the library? You're a DIRTY PIRATE!
Obtaining information without the author getting anything in return! You're right lets arrest all the people at libraries! haha careful though, don't want to get ACTA any ideas...
3.64 terrabytes of shit.
Fixd
uh oh the local car dealer doesnt have the car I want

you can't compare music to cars, that's some terrible logic right there
Terrible logic.
Actually, no, it's not terrible logic. Stop feeling like you are entitled to something because guess what: you're not. This companies spend MONEY to make the products, employees need to get PAID. And how the fuck do you think they get the money back? Not from petty thieves such as 90% of the people in this thread.
well, you sure do live up to the name of holy crusade
