Believe it or not, a friend of mine whom worked at Geek Squad told me a person there put in a stick of ram BACKWARDS. Destroying the motherboard and Ram heh.

I wonder what went through the head of the guy who did that, "hm, this doesn't seem to fit,... what if I use more force?"

Thank god I'm replacing this PSU with a modular one
Bitch ,you already got your first point wrong! You cannot add memory to a laptop and that is a desktop in the animation.

You can add memory to a laptop, I know for a fact that the Lenovo X series supports RAM upgrades, as well as some Dell laptops.
I'd date a girl that knows how to put ram in my computer, if you know what I mean
So you're trying to say that a person inept with computers would attempt to build one instead of purchase one?

Or am I misunderstanding
I'd rather someone else build mine if the price is better than building it would cost me. I got my PC over $100 cheaper than ordering all the same parts off NewEgg would've done me in for
because everybody knows how computers are put together
It's not that hard, Google helps. Plus, on macs it's as easy as inserting a DS cartridge.
the video gave me hope
the posts in this thread crushed that hope

Same. I need some more RAM for Skyrim.
Can I upgrade the memory in my laptop?
Almost every laptop and portable computer allows a user to upgrade the memory (RAM) in the computer. Often this is done by opening a compartment on the bottom of the laptop and adding or removing and adding a new stick of memory.
Many times you must purchase the memory for your laptop through the laptop manufacturer or an authorized dealer. However, many memory manufacturers and companies also make compatible memory for many of the newer laptops. If you have questions about your laptops memory specifications or how to upgrade the memory you should contact the manufacturer of your laptop.
A listing of memory manufacturers and related web pages can also be found on our memory network section.
Oh and why would RAM for laptops be sold if you can't use it it'd be idiotic and you'd just end up with piles of boxes just laying around.
I actually didn't do it right when I upgraded my PC's RAM for the first time. I didn't know I had to push it in so hard the side things snapped in by themselves and just put it in a bit and then closed them myself.
Well this video confirmed one thing, I am not a geek by any stretch of the imagination if these are the criteria I need to fit into.
