emo to me seems like a Weeabo who got bullied and a Metal Head had a baby and it made a emo/scene kid.
Don't be silly a metalhead wouldn't participate in raising their child he'd run to mexico
Three posts above me: That guy is fucking pathetic.
He named the album, "my sexy anime girlfriends" he really is pathetic. He dated a really ugly girl for a few months then broke up and had like a 'seizure' to get attention on my bus and started crying, we all just looked at him and laughed. Oh god, his facebook is full of embarrassment gold. I bet if I were to post this on 4chan they would go to town on him but I dont even know how 4chan works. so I wont even go there. Emo does seem like it is dying out around my area but the kids who still are emo stick to it and yell at me if I say a joke about cutting or something. I openly make fun of the people who [u]used to cut themselves, does that make me bad?
For the most part, but it's almost assuredly going to be replaced by something much worse.
For the most part, but it's almost assuredly going to be replaced by something much worse.
I'm really really really starting to hate the hipsters. there are kids at my school who have bought glasses that dont have an affect on your sight just so they can have the glasses/scarf/open buttonup/laceless shoes/iPod headphones around their neck/messy hair look I'm thinking about this kind of kid [notice the red sunglasses that don't match anything, the bright blue shirt, the tight caprees, the shoes] perfect example in my opinion. I just LOVE pulling pictures off my 'friends' profiles on facebook.
I could give the argument that emo is a music genre and therefore no one can actually be "emo", but that confuses everyone so I'll play along. But no there's still emo/scene kids everywhere.
It's the other way around.
Them hipsters
i still don't know what the fuck a hipster is and every time i ask i get random shit
It was in style, now it's not. Shit never lasts, man. Why do you think very few people dress like this anymore: Because that went out of style. Now it's scene or some shit, but it'll be gone someday.
I think that emotional people have had something dramatic happen in their lives to make them that way. But the people who wear the dark//tight clothing and color their hair different colors are just attention whores.
Am I the only one who's never noticed and or identified with these kinds of "sub-cultures" that you all speak of? I see a kid on the street, I don't think a thing of it, and I go about my day.
They sort of did, but as emo's faded out the metro's came in :geno:... In Australia, every guy at my school wanted to be/started being metro.... Most have now shaved their heads, but some remain metro. It's started a thing with people at school, "you stupid metro fucks" "shut up you skin head cunts'... It's really quite stupid. :colbert: The people who used to be metro who have now shaved their heads, seem to think their tougher now, with their lack of hair... The world is so mysterious.

I remember there's an emo faggot on facepunch, I'm sure he'll be in this thread soon
being homophobic sure is cool
Yeah it really is. Gay people are suuuuuch fags.
They grew up.
Emo died in the 90's. The recent movement we saw was just Scene kids. I feel for the true Rave scene though, as they will probably be the next trend.
I used to see them. But, it does seem as if they have diminished. Thank god :smug: [editline]10:47PM[/editline]
Emo died in the 90's. Gangsta's are begining to be a big fad with elementary children now, same with some older jackass', same for the prostitute looks for young girls.
They migrated to the north, of course.
Emo is rarer now its all scene, hipster, goth,Justin beiber fuck the style caught on at my school for my last month all I saw was Justin beiber wannabes,an emo kidd tried it too he looked like a depressed justin beiber. Those trends suck balls its all people with too much time/money and not enough personality.
it's a cycle goths gangstaz emos scenesters/hardcore kids (same thing) hipsters ravers goths gangstaz emos scenesters/hardcore kids hipsters ravers goths gangstaz you get the idea [editline]11:50PM[/editline] the crazy thing is half the time they're all the same people
I don't really get bothered by hipsters. A few of my friends are hipsters. The only sub-culture that really annoys me is muzzas (a word that is only used in my city so is most likely lost on you). http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=muzza
Recently in Dublin theres this weird new trend, which I think people call "spicer" or some weird name like that. They wear full addidas tracksuit, all the same colour,(blue, green or red being the most popular) they all have the same, annoying as fuck hairstyle; straightened, flattened down at the front and spiked up at the back. They mostly listen to rave and a good few of them do jumpstyle and shuffle and shite. They're cheeky fuckers though, and it's a fairly new trend, because I've never seen one that's older than me, the oldest I've seen were my age.
To be honest, I don't mind Emo kids atleast they have low opinions of themselves most of the time. but hipsters....FUCK hipsters! I see a lot of those white guys who (try to) dress gangsta nowadays. i haven't seen a full blown emo kid in years. I do see a lot of groups of hipsters but apart from that they give off a vibe of "we're cooler than the rest of you"(which is more imaginary) they're normally alright people.
Why does Facepunch have to hate everyone that isn't them? Just because other people can go out and get off the computer to socialize and all that? Don't you think we ALL could be categorized on Facepunch as Fat, anti-social nerds, but no EVERYONE on Facepunch is perfect, and they have to ridicule everyone that doesn't like video games and going on a computer for 12 hours of a day.
One retarded trend out, a million or so more to go.
I fucking hate people who aren't geeks, they should all go die.
Literally her is the population of my school: 20% Goth. 10% Normal (E.g. Those who don't have a style and don't really care about what group they are in). 40% Hipster, Scene kid (God I hate them all, they are SUCH faggots). 10% Skater (Like above but can do tricks on bikes and skateboards and gain much "spect" while doing it). 20% Geek (Not really hard to explain, however, in our school, It is pretty different, we are like a geek class of our own... I fall in this category). Basically friends with 35% of the school, ok with 20%. The skaters and scene kids are my mortal enemies.
