Not for me, heuh heuh. [editline]1st January 2012[/editline] Not if they go after the guys who are the same.
That's kinda dumb [editline]2nd January 2012[/editline] Although I bet an even average looking guy going to Singapore would get women flocking to him as long as he was outgoing. Since I bet so many of those girls are repressed sexually hardcore.
if i was that 16 year old dude i would get on that hot asian girl, the one tryin to stop them from ditching.
Severe repercussions.
BOLO SANTOSI
I have to say it. Asian Parents Master-race.
Bogans.
Funny, because down here, no one would want those two sisters
My friend was actually on this show a few years back. They didn't even use his real parents or anything, and said he smoked when he didn't and various other things.
My friend was actually on this show a few years back. They didn't even use his real parents or anything, and said he smoked when he didn't and various other things.
so this is fake?
the parents in this show are never THAT strict its just that the kids are spoiled fucking brats "you have to say hello when you come home from school" *dramatic heart beats*
and I thought my 1st world problems were bad
In Singapore (same with Malaysia), if you're caught with any drugs; you will be executed. Both the "strictest" parents and the problem child parents are such wet blankets it's unbelievable. I am a very good academic student but that doesn't mean that I do it all the time in my life. I like to have fun sometimes and just relax! I would hate to have parents who are incredibly strict with me, sure my parents are strict but I can still have a laugh with them and enjoy their company, (same with my brother and sister) it's not to the point where I feel like I am being watched 24/7 by them. I'm not sure if it's just because of my upbringing that I think this is silly (and if I was brought up by that family then I would see it as the norm) but I think that it is very ridiculous that the Singapore family restricts their children in such a way. You just have to find the right balance then it's an enjoyable living for everyone.
If you're caught with a certain amount then they will charge you with drug trafficking, which is a capital offense.
That girl is the epitome of people that need to be slapped in the face and told they're not as important as they think they are.
I'm pretty sure you're wrong on that. There is a certain amount of grams for each drug (which is clearly listed) that mandates automatic execution if you're caught. It's not any amount, though, because you won't be executed (at least to my knowledge) for having a gram of marijuana. [editline]1st January 2012[/editline] A nickle weighs 5 grams.
Under Schedule 2 of the Misuse of Drugs Act,[13][14] any person importing, exporting, or found in possession of more than the following quantities of drugs receives a mandatory death sentence: 1200 grammes of opium and containing more than 30 grammes of morphine (§5 and §7, (2)(b)); 30 grammes of morphine (§5 and §7, (3)(b)); 15 grammes of diamorphine (heroin) (diamo (§5 and §7, (4)(b)); 30 grammes of cocaine (§5 and §7, (5)(b)); 500 grammes of cannabis (§5 and §7, (6)(b)); 1000 grammes of cannabis mixture (§5 and §7, (7)(b)); 200 grammes of cannabis resin (§5 and §7, (8)(b)); 250 grammes of methamphetamine (§5 and §7, (9)(b)). Who would bring only a gram of marijuana? I think if you're caught with any drugs here, you're as good as dead, unless your country intervenes. People escape the gallows with just a slap on the wrist if you come from a country that has major trade links with Singapore, such as Germany. If we execute a foreigner, it'd look bad on us and the government hates bad publicity. Unfair for the locals though, no chance of escape if you're caught.
Sorry but I find any country that executes people and especially because they are carrying some drugs on them a backwards country. I do admire the determination these people have for succeeding in life. But this shouldn't be because someone expects you to do this, you have to want it out of free will. I don't know if the first is the case for these people, they do seem to be enjoying life. But I do feel like something is out of place over there when watching these videos. I just hope life gets even better in Singapore in the future.
Wow Zanes a fucking twonk.
Singapore is an awesome country. So cleannnnnnn.

Everyone here is influenced from young to be successful in life, to follow the path that their parents want them to, and this pretty much leads to socially inept scholars that only want to work hard to please their parents. It's all good but it's a dull life. Everyone wants to make money here, nobody is really interested in politics or that sort of stuff, which is why there hasn't been many political activists here that protest against the death penalty. You just aren't allowed to protest because the government does not tolerate dissent.
Sounds like the kind of place I want to live. I'm being serious too. I hate the way people act in Florida, everything is so orderly in Singapore.

Facepunch suprizes me by calling those asian girls attractive. Not only are they flat but their elbows are sharp too.

Singapore is probably number 2# on my list of places I don't want to live, just ahead of "North Korean holding cell" and just behind "inside the anus of a man in a North Korean holding cell"
God we have some absolute cunts here in Australia. Sad thing is I've met so many kids like those 2.
Holy shit, i would totally freak out if i would need to cut my hair because someone wants it. I mean, it's personal, everybody can do what they want with their hairs. Fortunately I don't live there and will never do.
i actually saw this on TV
Thanks man :), my dad use to live in Singapore and he told me that "If you're caught with drugs in Singapore: you're as good as dead", so I must have interpreted that wrong.
But you won't get death If you have drugs in the country. Only when bringing it in. That's why the local weed is horrible.
Facepunch suprizes me by calling those asian girls attractive. Not only are they flat but their elbows are sharp too.
oh god honestly, I don't even want to think about their elbows
This isn't really about strict parents. It's more about asshole-kids.
The parents are only strict because the kids are complete cunts.
But you won't get death If you have drugs in the country. Only when bringing it in.
