Cesium has a half-life of about 30 years so it's probably not that detrimental to your health to have one in your possesion assuming it's from Chernobyl.
Oh. I thought they'd be some inert thing related to radioactivity or the accident, it'd be nice to have a souvenir from Chernobyl. And I thought the asterisk applied to "UK only", meaning he'd do int'l shipping but was looking to send most to the UK because it'd be cheaper or whatever.
They don't allow you to take anything out of the Zone of Alienation. They check you at various checkpoints and stuff.
I think he meant Cesium, you know, as in fuel rods. As in the kind that's not entirely safe to possess
jesus they let you ship those?! don't leave the package in the rain
They don't allow you to take anything out of the Zone of Alienation. remember to take lots of cool pictures
Don't fall into an anomaly, bring a lot of bolts. Seriously though, like the others said, take pictures, and have fun, man!
Don't forget to drink some vodka when high on radiation.
[generic STALKER reference]
little advise, while chernobyl is fairly geologicly stable, if theres an earthquake in the area, get the hell out of there, most of the existing shelter, espeacialy ontop of the reactor, is not supported by anything but its own self, IE House of Cards around a radioactive cradle of doom anyway, take a film camera with you if u can find one, cas the mild radiation could produce some nice effects on the pictures (radiation in general does weird things to film) also take some pictures of the reactor if ur near it, because once the new shelter is rolled in place, the building will be enclosed from the world for good
If you find a fire extinguisher, don't discharge it... remember what happened last time? :v: How dd you manage to afford that trip? Airfare alone is quite expensive, let alone the cost of the tour.
Sounds cool, all the best!
The trip sounds bad ass and you should have fun. If anything happens, eh it was worth it. Then maybe you can hook up with all the irradiated mutant babes.
i want a cesium rod but apparently theyre explosive when they touch water any other bad shit about them?
i want a cesium rod but apparently theyre explosive when they touch water any other bad shit about them?
Highly radioactive, flammable, all around extremely chemically reactive
Highly radioactive, flammable, all around extremely chemically reactive
so its essentially a weapon neighbours having a water fight, throw one of these over, and bam, tcb 25 to life for murder op why are you giving these out [editline]3rd September 2012[/editline] i do sorta want one though but not for blowing people up [editline]3rd September 2012[/editline] i want to radiate myself into a caterpillar
Grow bat wings and post results
How much is it costing to get and stay there?
I'm going there next year with my best friend. My dad has some buddies in Kiev who can act as field guides.
Don't go into the forest.
Don't even fucking look at the elephants foot. Also thread music. -snip-
They're not going in the NPP, and I presume they won't be going too near it. It'll probably just be 'Hey, look over there, there's the NPP. Well, that was nice, wasn't it?' I wouldn't be surprised.

find the wish granter post pics
i doubt anything will happen to you but if a radioactive mutation assaults you then best of luck have fun also animals still live around the area i think so bring self defense~!
What's your address, I want a caesium rod :v:
What's your address, I want a caesium rod :v:
Zakhaev called, he said he pays good for spent fuel rods
Remember, buckshot for mutants, bullets for Stalkers.
Pack energy drinks, vodka and bread. It's all you need in the Zone.
Pack energy drinks, vodka and bread. It's all you need in the Zone.
Pack vodka? Pfft, I'm gonna buy some proper Ukrainian vodka!
I've been planning to book myself onto a Chernobyl tour with a couple of friends next summer, we were going to do it as part of a road trip though eastern Europe. It'll be interesting to hear what it's like.
