surrogates are an option
I wanna go there sometime as well, it looks wonderful! How did you find it/book it?
Watch out for the boars.
Why are you scared of Ukrainian airlines?
They are fine.
Are you flying with Aeroflot? May God have mercy on your soul.
Just joking, air travel is nothing to be scared of at all. And I'm so jealous of you visiting Chernobyl, I really want to try and go there next year. Get some decent pictures please!
Could you send me some stuff from there?
Preferably anomalies.
Ukranian Airlines? They have that?
I'm worried it'll be an old soviet aircraft, barely flying. Have a safe trip then, and don't die from your plane crashing or being gored by tusks!
Treat the place with respect and don't take things that aren't yours, have fun and be safe.
Take pictures of the huge eurasian boars rumored to live there.

You do realize that Ukraine is not a third world country, right?
Ah,Pripyat! Someone better find a solution for that radiation, would give some new needed living space. Oh,and nearly every plane from Ukranian Airlines is a old Soviet plane, those might look and sound like they will fall apart any moment, but actually those planes are one of the safest planes ever. I was flying in one on a business trip, was scared too,but you get used to it after your first flight.
Live action Metro 2033
I remember there was another Facepuncher who went there, he never updated his thread. Did he die?
The buildings are probably the most dangerous parts of Chernobyl, as the buildings of that era decay quickly when they aren't lived in. Due to the lack of humans, the buildings become too dry, and this causes the building to be very dangerous. If there's anything you really should worry about, it's entering the buildings. Watch your step, and try not to collapse it please. Also, take pictures of the red forest. My father used to work at the NPP after the explosion, and he told me he once found a maple leaf about a meter across. Not sure on the validity of that, but still.

But Metro is in the Moscow metro tunnels, which is in Russia. It would make more sense to say live action STALKER.
Try the local vegetables, they're delicious!

Do something like this, but without the fisheye.
You do realize that Ukraine is not a third world country, right?
Finland and sweden were both 3rd (Or kinda 2nd world maybe for Finland, depending on the criteria.) world countries.
It's pretty dubious still putting countries into better-worse order depending on whos side they were on in the cold war.
Ride the Ferris wheel, bring pics.
Oh and cut open some plants and take pics of that.
I remember there was another Facepuncher who went there, he never updated his thread. Did he die?
He posted another thread with lots of images IIRC, although I can't seem to find it via search.

That other facepuncher who said he was going to visit never updated the thread either...

He's not gonna be there until the 1st of October. His profile says that he was last active 9 minutes ago.
I'd love to go to Chernobyl when I'm older, my worry is that I'll not be able to when Pripyat becomes too unstable.
What happened to the last guy who said he was going to chernobyl on here? He said he would report back and then never did
it isn't october yet.
Hi guys! I'm sitting at the flat I'm staying in, in Slavutych, Ukraine. It's a new town built for the workers at the plant/the residents of Pripyat after the disaster in 1986.
So far I've spent two days in the zone. Unfortunately I'm stuck with tethering my phone to my laptop and they only have Edge in Ukraine which is pretty slow, so I can only present you with a select few photographs for now. I will, of course, write up a full report when I get back to the UK.
