the ball robots voice sounded weird, not sure I like it
After seeing R2 for 6 movies it just feels odd to have a different droid companion. I'm really excited to see new musical cues and using old ones. The Jurassic World soundtrack was really exciting to me the couple times they make call backs to old themes.
I'm so god damned pumped for this movie it's getting a little worrying!!
You're right. [sp] It's definitely Finn she's crying over. The colour matches his jacket and you can tell it's a jacket due to the cuffs area plus you can see the line/crease that runs down the arm of the jacket that is also seen in the shot with Finn and his lightsaber. In addition you can just make out, while blurry, that red tag thing on his jacket. [/sp]
[sp]I could've sworn Harrison Ford was on the set for episode 8. Also I believe Kylo Renn isn't in episode 8 [/sp]
In addition to the Rey crying scene... [sp]Look at the bottom right. Black skin, black hair (with snow particles in it), with a leafless bush right behind the hair to make it look like longer gray hair. It's pretty obvious it's Finn.[/sp]
none of the music in these trailers is from the movie or by john williams.
is there a source on that? not trying to argue, just really want this to be true. wasn't a fan of the last trailer's music
Except I don't even think the second or the third movie even USE the Force theme. I thought that theme only played like ONCE in that extremely key moment when Luke is looking at the Binary Sunset.
Every movie has the Force theme, in several places. Besides the main theme it's probably the most recurring melody in the franchise.
is there a source on that? not trying to argue, just really want this to be true. wasn't a fan of the last trailer's music
It's a collaborative effort. John Williams composed the majoirty of the theme, but other composers have put their hands into it, such as Frederick Lloyd
Frederick Lloyd, director and composer for films, TV, trailers and media, has since come forward on Twitter to announce that he contributed music to the latter half of the trailer, namely the Force Theme. He has not revealed the full extent of his input and indicated that he is unable to go into further detail on the process.
http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2015/10/20/star_wars_the_force_awakens_trailer_premiered_new_john_williams_music.html
http://www.slashfilm.com/star-wars-the-force-awakens-trailer-music/
alright, good. the only thing the prequels had going for them was the music and i hope the new movie's score can maintain the same quality
