Man i'm glad i dont have to cut just yet, dear god i love my food. Simple shit really OP. When i first started out wanting to lose some belly fat (was pretty fat) i just started running/jogging, 5km (? miles) each day. Too begin with it was living hell just running 1 of those km, but in a matter of weeks, maybe even days, if your body adapts quickly, it will get use to running and the pain will scale down a whole lot. ( make sure not to eat right before doing cardio, kills your stomach) This routine i just followed each day while eating pretty decent healthy food, i wont be visible right away, but you will feel so much better about your self, and if you make it a habit like i did, it'll change your looks quickly. Have fun, and good luck
Simple shit, indeed. A lot of people don't try and lose weight and give up because "It's just too hard". My ass, just make it a habit and it's as simple as can be, right?
this thread went on too long. just lift and maintain a cal deficit. Any other shit is irrelevant
why arent you in DD anymore :(
Don't do them anymore [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] Right going for my first day of running guys. Wish me luck. :v:
Actually, I'd rather have untrustworthy advice from a mature human being than be fucked over a 12 year old snot nosed twat burger who thinks he's ~muscly~ when he's actually an incompetent, not to mention totally rude cumchugger He's a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be treated that way, and neither do I, go and wank in the bath
You're obviously new here. Casus knows much more about exercise and nutrition than you ever will. His posts are just satire which you took way too seriously. Good luck with your getting trolled goals in 2012
Trolling and flaming in almost every post is supposed to be bannable.
Trolling and flaming in almost every post is supposed to be bannable.
Backseat modding is also supposed to be bannable.

went well, I think I did like 2 miles? I'm not sure
Excercise, eat less, eat healthy, lift weights (Squats, Bench, Freeweights) three times a week, and run a km on the other two days. (You don't need gym access to do squats, and you could do lunges instead - put rocks in some buckets or something. Do it Clubber Lang style) Aim to eat about 1500-1700 calories a day. You burn that much resting, so any excercise you do will create a calorie deficit. I've lost 6kg in a month doing this and eating what I write below. That's safe - about 1.5 kg a week. Go to the shop and get this food (since you are a teen, I understand you not being able to buy and cook your own food, but you should be able to afford the following, or ask your parents/guardians to pick it up for you). Mixed Berries - frozen will do (Boysen, Logan, Straw, Blue, Rasp). Yoghurt (low fat) - flavoured if you want. Mix together - three large teaspoons of yoghurt and however many berries you want - eat for breakfast. Mixed Nuts (raw - not cashews and not peanuts - brazil, macadamia, walnut, pistachio and almond. If they have dried fruit in them, that's cool too, because you want some sugar). Fruit - Apples, Peaches, whatever you want. You should get a lot of your sugar from fruit. As for proteins and fats, just eat whatever your parents give you for lunch and dinner. As long as you aren't eating TV dinners every night, you should be okay (you want some lean meat, veg and some carbs). If they heap it on, just ask for less. ^^^^ Doubt you did two miles your first time out, unless it took you thirty minutes. My first 5k run took me 30 minutes and I walked half of it. I can do it in 20 now, but still stop and walk a lamp post every so often (shin splints, not stamina) [editline]11th January 2012[/editline]
Well if two people want me to take a photo if it actually helps I guess I will. Tomorrow though, just had dinner. :v:
Cut your head off if you are embarrassed. Body shot, no head. And don't use a mirror. Set up a timer. edit: Actually, why do you want to lose weight? You are pretty much at ideal body weight for your age and height. Also, you won't "get ripped" by doing weights for a month or two. If anything, you need to stay the same weight, and lose some body fat while gaining muscle.
Sweet stuff.
Yeah, I like the idea of berries and yoghurts and stuff, I'll see if it's possible to get them tonight. My daily food in school is buy a cookie(Dunno if I should do that) and soup, and a piece of bread. Every day thats the same so that won't change. Breakfast I don't usually have actually, I had some Weetabix this morning though, 2. And for dinner I don't really know. So, if I snack, fruits are the way forward? No fatty stuff? And yeah, it did take me quite long to run it :v: I wanna lose weight, because although I might be my ideal weight, I still have a belly which I want to replace with muscle.
this nerd still listening to poor advice o boy

But if you're looking to turn it into muscle, then you definitely need to hit the weights. Also, don't eat that cookie. A cookie should be a reward when you've done good or something you'd have in moderation. I know it's tempting, but try not to make it an everyday thing. Count your calories of course like I said. Remember though, even if that cookie doesn't have many calories, it has sugar. Sugar turns to fat and sits in your body. You then need to work more to burn off that fat and in the end, was it really worth the whole 2 minutes it took you to eat it?

Would pull-up bars do any good? My brothers got one which he doesn't use. Also, I wont eat that cookie from now on, once a week I guess? So fruit for a snack or what?

I usually have snyder pretzels. 28 pretzels for 100 calories. Sometimes I get these little extra thin pretzels. They're 87 pretzels for 100 calories. Keep in mind these are pretzel sticks. But yeah, fruit is a good alternative. But some fruits have a lot of sugar. Like grapes, they're good, but high in sugar. Go for apples, or even oranges.
Alright, thanks man
Eat healthy, go running, sleep well. As long as you eat everything in moderation you should be good, don't eat until your full, eat until your half full, that's the trick, swap fizzy drinks for water, just stay active, if you don't have the time to exercise just eat healthy and change the little things in your life; stand instead of sitting, walk to school/college/work instead of taking the bus. Weights won't help you loose weight, the only thing thats going to burn weight is cardio, when you do weights you remove fat from the area your training but you build muscle and gain weight.
Weights won't help you loose weight, the only thing thats going to burn weight is cardio, when you do weights you remove fat from the area your training but you build muscle and gain weight.
Are you seriously trying to tell him that spot fat removal works? Seriously get out, you clearly have 0 idea of what you're talking about.
Weights won't help you loose weight, the only thing thats going to burn weight is cardio, when you do weights you remove fat from the area your training but you build muscle and gain weight.
First of all, weights help you lose weight. Weightlifting burns just as many calories as cardio does. Second of all, spot fat removal is a load of shit.
First of all, weights help you lose weight. Weightlifting burns just as many calories as cardio does. Second of all, spot fat removal is a load of shit.
Exactly. Really, weightlifting just replaces the fat with muscle. He may not lose much weight, barely any at all, but it'll be muscle, not fat. So he'll look leaner.
Okay, so I'm 15 years old, 10St 4lbs. Or 144lbs? I'm 5ft 6/7. I don't really do much exercise but I wouldn't know how to start either, obviously I walk my dog for 10-20 minutes, I have a core PE lesson every Thursday, but for the next 6 weeks we're doing table tennis.. I'd like to lose a stone or 14lbs ideally, but I don't know how to start, I'm just looking to be skinny and not ripped, maybe in the future. My family are all rather large builds, so I don't think I can get my desired skinny, I could just get rid of my belly fat, so could you guys give me some ideas on how to lose it? I could go run/go to the gym but I wouldn't know how to start off, my brother lost 7lbs this week, that's a lot for just one week, right? So yeah, what could I do guys? How could I count my calories? (I get food in school, usually one cookie, a drink, and a cup of soup with some bread to last me the day). Is counting calories worth it if I'm wanting to lose the pounds? Any helps appreciated guys, thanks.
you're brother probably didnt lose 7lbs in body fat, it was water weight it takes a little longer than a week to lose 7lbs
you're brother probably didnt lose 7lbs in body fat, it was water weight it takes a little longer than a week to lose 7lbs
I mean, it's pretty possible/realistic. If you're big enough, 7 pounds a week is a breeze. I've been close to that. Just take a bunch of hard work and determination. Ever seen The Biggest Loser?
casnus is a champ. rubberfruit you gave valid advice until you said do crunches, that work's your top 2 abdominal muscles it wont burn much fat or jack for calories it just hurts your neck and is a waste of time. not trying to be a dick, just telling it how it is.
So many retards in WTF these days. If you want to lose fat, go on a caloric.defecit of 500 or so cals, even though i would reccomend u do the complete oposite and just lift heavy. Seriously don't be a bitch. Take our advice.
depending on how much % body fat you were.
Yeah, that's why I said if you're big enough.

I don't know whether or not this works but it did for me (I guess). 1. Climb stairs two at a time. 2. Walk yr dog an hour every day, if your's is an energetic, crazy yet lovable medium-sized bundle of fur it should stay quiet for about an hour or at least after dinner. 3. Play soccer. Go defender and just block people. That's what I do :D 4. Tennis. Rackets(Racquets?) are expensive, I think, but it's quite good exercise. just don't play after it rains tennis courts usually get kinda slippery unless you're barefoot. Plus you don't acctually need to go for lessons just get someone to teach you the basics (My bro and dad taught me). You might have some hidden talent in it :D 5. During yr holidays, if there's any new locations coming up and it's safe to walk alone or with a bunch of friends, take some time off to walk there and explore. It's (quite) fun and you can yak with yr friends along the way. Try walking to yr destinations when there are no time constraints for the day and distance is not too large (>2 hrs). Tell me if this works plz it did for me and someone give me advice too I gotta build up my crappy stamina for jogging and running.
omg its like i just went to face book and some dumb juggalo fat chick is telling other juggalettes how to tone their legs with workouts from womens magazines
