OP, post picture of the bill. I cannot believe this until I see proof, and with OP being vague as always (not telling the name of the daughter to not allow us to fuck with her and her company? yeah right) this seems really odd case of someone going through serious trouble to get the OP to pay.

i doubt 13k in medical bills would come from a bike crash, unless her arms somehow fell off and they were replaced with cyborg parts. If you really care, take it to court, find out the realistic expenses and pay. BUT I think she is trying to get quick cash off you because it happened 8 years ago it couldn't possibly be affecting her without any problems she didn't already have in her life (ie, not paying health insurance, something like that).

Don't know if this has already been posted yet, but do you know the statute of limitations for Torts (injuries) in your state? In Washington state (where I am) it is 3-6 years depending on the injury. Second, consult a lawyer, but do so first at a legal clinic (cheap way of getting legal help) and if they can't help you retain/hire a lawyer (the expensive option). From what I understand of your situation, this woman is trying to make you pay for her medical expenses with no legal recourse or authority and likely after the statute of limitations on has expired on the event in question. But in the short term, DO NOT pay her. I would also avoid contact with her until after you have consulted with a lawyer or some other legal expert (again, go to legal clinic).

I'm pretty sure she isn't legally aloud to sue someone for an incident that happened when you were a minor. Of anything your parents would have to pay, but even that's ridiculous.
