My law knowledge is a bit iffy, but iirc there are three reasons she can't sue you. One, you were a minor at the time of the incident. Your father was liable at the time, liability technically doesn't change. You should probably warn your dad. Two, I'm not sure, but I believe if she wasn't a resident of the US at the time (assuming she was a tourist), then she can't do anything either. And she couldn't be a citizen yet. Three, after five years have expired, it can't be sued over. That might be insurance related, but as far as I know it's true.

Isn't 8 years too long to take legal action? One of my Dad's neighbors stole some of his mom's backyard and when my dad was old enough to do anything about it the lawyer explained that it was too long after the incident had occurred.
