I don't get why everybody hates Michael Bay for being good at making action movies. Action movies are supposed to be explosions, fights, car chases, explosions, and shootouts.
he's not good at making action movies though so ?????
Big damn deal if Marchaeiol Bear re-used some CG.
he's not good at making action movies though so ?????
Are you saying The Rock wasn't Michaelangelo Bay's masterpiece?
I just don't know how to turn off my brain.
I don't want to know how either, it's very backwards. If something is good only when it requires no thought function, it IS NOT GOOD. IT IS BAD. Requiring the absences of thinking is counter productive and the most moronic thing I hear spouted all the time.
Wow
I for one, enjoyed Transformers 3
Atleast he got rid of Megan Fox.
Main reason I am going to see the 3rd one.

I have no problem turning my brain off when watching a movie. But there's still a difference between a good movie that you can turn your brain off to and a bad one. I, for one, like the crank movies. They are good and they know that you should turn your brain off while watching them. But when your turning your brain off to a movie, it should be 2 hours long or under, not be closer to 3.

which is why im glad he puts in a good hour of shia lebouf moping around and being a dick beforehand
CG can cost A LOT of money. This stuff happens all the time.
Not just money, it takes alot of time to render CGI scenes. Pixar once said that it can take a few days to render ONE scene.
Guess what action movies are also supposed to be?
Interesting stories.
For everyone who rated this guy disagree, "interesting story" does not mean "unique" or "deep" or "thought-provoking". "Interesting" means - surprise, surprise - that it holds your interest - you actually give a shit about the the plot and characters and where they go. Tension is an integral part of any good actioner, and if you don't care what happens to anyone or anything, there's no tension, and all that's left is a bunch of loud noises and pretty colors - and if you're going to "turn off your brain" and lower your standards to the point where that's what it takes to entertain you, you might as well throw some dubstep into a visualizer instead and at least save yourself some money.

The Rock was great, it was the only good thing that Machoke Boy has ever done.
Guess what action movies are also supposed to be?

What this guy means is that there has to be a reson behingd the action, something that the action is there to supplement, not te other way around.
Look at Die Hard or Predator. Thought provoking? No. Intellectual? Not really. In fact predator barely fleshes out its main character at all. Through good writing, great direction and good pacing though, the films have you root for the good guys, hate the bad guys, not feel fatigued by the constant action on screen or bored by the lack of it, they're funny, the characters are all likeable etc. Transformers is none of these and that's why it sucks. It doesn't have to be a clever movie, just a competently made movie, and miguel bosch hasn't made one of those for 15 years.
Yeah, thats exactly what I meant.
I guess I just worded it badly.

ok where would you like to put this? (hint, it's a kick ass film)
Ok bay bashing aside, this has been done to death since the dawn of time, it saves time and money what do you expect.
I don't care, still awesome movies, ain't the first person to do this and won't be the last. Saved money on redoing the shots and the shots fit the movie.
also whats with the little explosion infront of the armoured trucks tire?
That was Michelin Man Bay's doing.
Makes me wonder how common this shit is in movies. It's pretty funny.

makes me wonder who was able to piece this shit together
thats just like your opinion man, some people just can't manage to turn off their noggins to enjoy a good action film. Some can.
but if you have to turn off your noggin then it isn't a GOOD action film. good action films do not require the lack of thought.
but if you have to turn off your noggin then it isn't a GOOD action film. good action films do not require the lack of thought.
My motto with action films is "sit back and enjoy the eye candy." It has yet to fail me.
thats a terrible motto and you should feel ashamed
In my opinion, a good action movie keeps you interested in the action, the characters, what they are doing and where they are going.

You'd think if this method was to save time and money, the money saved would be used to make the movie more interesting with its plot and characters.
i don't understand how you feel that turning off your noggin for a movie would make it a bad movie? When i say turn off your noggin i mean it as since the movie doesn't have a deep plot, not alot of thinking needs to be done to enjoy the film, it's just eye candy and entertaining action. It isn't a thinking movie.
"It isn't a thinking movie", the alternative to that is "mindless garbage to be enjoyed by the stupid masses"
if you enjoy the transformers, you ARE a part of the "mindless, stupid masses".

that doesn't require more money really, just a scriptwriter who has an iq over 40
Just a quick question to all those who turn of their brain to watch an action movie and enjoy any of said action movies, what action movies do you not enjoy?
That was Michelin Man Bay's doing.
oh my god, this is the best one yet
