1. America has the largest firearm death percentage of any country in the world. Australia has an incredibly small percentage of gun deaths per year, and has very strict gun laws. If guns made the country safer, then why is this the case? 2. Your average gun killing is not done by criminal masterminds. Most of it is from people who have easy access to a gun, and would not otherwise go to great measures to seek out a firearm. Putting strict regulations on guns would stop ease of access and greatly reduce the amount of deaths with them. 3. "If people didn't have guns, they would kill people with other things!" Sure, but guns are much more efficient killers than other weapons as they have range, something that weapons do not, making it harder to kill people with it and increasing the chances of survival in an attack. The gun-toting mentality is something the US really needs to shake off.
You do not understand the basic fundamentals of the Second Amendment. It does not exist to enhance safety, it exists to destroy it. It exists to give the citizenry the basic power to fuck shit up at any given time they so choose. That alone is a power the government does not possess, and something the citizens will always be able to hold over their government's head to ward off any thoughts of subterfuge.
Let's look at Denmark then. There are pretty much no guns here, I've never seen one, and each time someone shoots a gun at someone, not even hitting, it's in the news. We seriously have no guns, and yet we seem to be doing alright.
It's just a blindfold, there are guns in Denmark and shootings happen more often than you might think. You know, the press has some restrictions too and they can't reveal EVERY shooting that happens.
There is no such thing as no guns. No guns means no crime, and there is no such thing as no crime.
He did not say no guns he said practically no guns. EDIT: He pretty much said practically.
He did not say no guns he said practically no guns.
Practically is a useless word. You are talking complete abolition and 100% effective control. I am expressing the fact that, even though this is impossible, such an imposition would create an enormous power gap between police and citizenry.
A manufactured gun is going to be better than one made in a prison from duct tape and shit. Even gunsmiths have materials.
You just can't seem to get the point. The point is that even if the gun was made of chewing gum and duct tape, if it fires a bullet at a significant speed IT IS A WEAPON. No matter if it was made by a gunsmith or an inmate with some spare time and wild imagination.
He did not say no guns he said practically no guns. EDIT: He pretty much said practically.
He either did or he didn't bro, there's no in between.
I don't support the whole "ban all guns they are the Devil's creation" scene, but I'll say this about the hunting comment: Fuck it, I like animals. Gaybow, whatever. It's wrong to kill a creature that has emotions, feelings, and a family... for sport, and no other reason besides that. If you kill animals because you need them to survive, shoot away. But no, hunting is killing for no other reason than it's fun. "Hmm, let's go have some fun by shooting animals lololo." Hmm... no.
This argument is going to come down to "how likely is it that the government goes corrupt" isn't it?
No it isn't, because on a long enough timeline those odds are 1:1. Corruption is inevitable. You can act like it's cliche but that's why we have the Second Amendment. It isn't for the security of state, that's what the militia is for. It's so that the citizens can fuck shit up when they get pissed enough.

We done have it and we're thriving, not to mention the lack of gun deaths. If ever you are in an argument, you just fall back on the amendment. Did you ever think that maybe your forefathers weren't perfect? Well I guess not because admitting their flaws would be admitting America's flaws and you're not going to do that, because you are 100% right, 100% of the time. That's cool, I'll live in a country where I'm almost guaranteed not to be shot. Enjoy yourself.

Here's an idea- let's put Dylan Klebold in a school with a manufactured TEC-9. And let's put Dylan Klebold's clone in a clone school with a duct tape gun. Who do you think will kill more people?
Everyone reacts differently to guns, OP is acting weird.
Lol, I'd like to see someone make a gun capable of killing several people. Let alone ammo. NOTE: I forgot to mention that I did NOT mean that police officers with guns is NOT bad. I would NOT get rid of those.
This was made In prison "this gun was built from the sawed-off legs of a prison bed, a few inches of wire and a 9V battery. it shot the lead weights contained in the low end of curtains; shooting was performed by match heads that were ignited through the battery. the velocity of the 'bullet' is astounding: to the lower right, you see what happens when this thing is aimed at a plate of bullet-proof glass. this convinced a warden not to resist as he was taken hostage when two inmates wanted to go for a stroll. 48 hours after their successful escape, however, they had again been captured."

Hmm... no.
It's still much more humane than the Meat production in general. You shoot the thing, you eat it, BAM. That's it. The meat production: You feed the creature hormones so that it grows faster, you make it live in a cage with 500 other animals, you kill it and you put into the market. Which is more ethical to you?
WAR is a sport based on killing.
