I'd have to say about 80% of people in Melbourne under the age of 25 dress like what this thread has been describing. Not what OP said, but the hipster look that everyone has been describing, but I've never heard the term hipster used here. Indie-kid or indie-fag are used far more commonly. Anyway I wear skinny jeans, they don't crush my balls, they're quite comfortable. They're just difficult to remove if you've been in the rain.

I hate the whole, indie musician look. Low vnecks and swooping long hair is a little gay imo. Also, a large part of being hipster is the leather wristbands, plaid scarves, key necklaces or something similar and baggy beanies. I wear all of the above on a regular basis.
