VeilStyle.com? Or something of that sort
Hmm, not too keen, it's a difficult one :(
I wanna design some shirts.
Good luck to you and your business.
I recommend holding design contests frequently, it will get you more views and with a contest you can get well done designs and many to choose from for a fraction of the price even a single shirt professionally designed can cost. It's practically free labor. Trick I've learned from one of my art teachers, warning us about contests and why people do them :v:
You seem passionate about this. Goodluck, OP!
I like your taste in music OP. Good luck with the business.
'Clear Veil' would sound pretty rad, combining both the cool names at first.
Sounds like a perfume imo

From the days when I was running my own tshirt brand, if you have that kind of budget you should get your tshirts printed yourself. I dont know if you were thinking of doing that already or if you were planning on selling them on spreadshirt or some shit like that, but printing your own shirts is a lot more flexible and gives you more profit. The only downside is how you have is that you'll be staying with a box full of t-shirts if nobody wants them. Also with the photographer, people have already said it themselves, but apart from that I would want something a bit more than the photos you're showing. They do look really hipster-ish and honestly I don't know how it would stand out against the various similar brands out there today. I also dont know how long this niche will still last but Im guessing a few years though. So its a good thing to have your brand stand out by having something different, which you should leave to a good creative team. Also I dont want to sound like Im trying to make you hire me, but at the same time its an opportunity that Ive always wanted.

Call your business Flossing Garms
I don't know if it's the aesthetic Gustafa is aiming for, but the music in the OP made me think of simple, minimalist clothing in generally muted colors. No flannel shirts to be found.
That's what a lot of (if not most) indie/hipster clothing is like now though, minimalism is in. I haven't seen a 'hipster' wear a flannel shirt in years.
I like Veil. Also Dusty Lumber (started by Facepunchers a couple years ago) did pretty well, I'm sure you can too.
snipnevermind didnt read properly
I tried to do this once. All I can say is don't try to sell your shirts in the parking lot of a concert venue out of the back of a pickup truck after a small show.
Soupy Sales & Marvin Hamlisch
Are you going for the indie/hipster look? (Yes I hate using those words but they describe what I'm thinking of.) These days it seems like there's good business in those kinds of brands.
what is indie/hipster clothes?
hi can i be your #1 customer
if you ever make jackets, do some creative geometrical stitches on the back of them, sort of like Aidan pierce's jacket you can see it pretty good starting at 2:40

I am quite interested in this thread
I am quite interested in this thread
I am pleased! To update you all, the logo is currently in the more than capable hands of our designer. Website design discussions are underway, probably going to be based on Wordpress. Fully custom made theme. I have also been in discussions with this lovely lady called Pennybirdrabbit, she might be making some sweet sweet music for our first brand video. Have you already contacted someone for the website design/development?
You're probably better off basing your site on something like Bigcartel if you're a clothing label, surely?
Have you already contacted someone for the website design/development?
Yeah we have an entire creative team in the office space I work in, so I've just chatted with them. [editline]27th June 2013[/editline]
You're probably better off basing your site on something like Bigcartel if you're a clothing label, surely?
Valid point but it's not just a clothing label. We're planning to do various different stuff over the long term, and Wordpress seems versatile enough to suit our requirements. Plus the fact I know Wordpress. I know there's probably better ways of doing things but to be honest, I'd rather just have a nice site that works, and just spend the rest of the money on advertising and clothing designers. Plus once the money starts coming in there's no reason why we couldn't get another site built.

If you're not completely sold on a brand name, I would like to make a suggestion: Panthermonkey. It is strong, yet playful. Fierce, yet joyous. Stern and celebratory at the same time. It is a name that makes women think of casual bathroom encounters, and men think of casual bathroom encounters plus sports cars.

Name it burka.
