I can actually attest to this, I prefer Word Starter because Open Office messes up my documents.

I don't even pay attention to ads so I don't see the big deal.
Gmail gets to anonymously skim my emails for keywords and I get to adblock anything it produces. No problems so far. :v:
Yep.
Can anyone explain me what all of these have to do with game console where you play games?
AdBlock plus, havent seen ads in ages. Browse internet as it should be.
Well, ads aren't really all bad, they do allow for people to run services for free, merely at the cost of some ads.
But you do realise that it wouldn't be hotmail's fault that you were hacked. It must have been something on your end. Meaning the same thing could happen to any of your accounts anywhere. If someone actually hacked hotmail, they wouldn't be after solely your account.
It's not often that I check my hotmail, so I don't know how long it was compromised, but if a keylogger or some sort were to have gotten on my computer, then I'm certain more than just hotmail would have been gone. I did a couple virus scans and detected no spyware, malware etc. so I'm sure it wasn't clientside. I should also mention that a couple other of my contacts were starting to send spam around to me a couple months before I started to do so. Now I know there weren't any attachments, and I never click on links from shady e-mails. That leads me to believe that someone got to my account through Hotmail's side and started sending spam.
Yep.
Who the fuck shares ads? If there were people cluttering up my facebook or whatever with ads then I would simply remove them. Nobody shares fucking ads unless they are particularly funny. Nobody in their right mind would volunteer to watch an ad to begin with when they could be using their console properly instead.
As long as they're not sending the information off to other companies and not allowing anyone to read them other than a machine - What's the harm?
Shame on Microsoft for making a video like this! They just want the world to move around them, and gets anoyed when others have a diffrent souloution and succeeds.
I've been uses Hotmail for a long time but ive been slowly moving over to Gmail with new accounts because Microsoft can not filter spam from anything 90% of the time I NEED an email its in the junk folder and if its some phishing email that says my "Insert MMO Account here" is trying to be sold and im going to get banned blah blah blah click here, its always in the Inbox never junk, so yeah if Google looks at some keywords and finds that this email might not be spam and i get some ads off it? oh well its a Free Service. But Xbox Live have Ads now? and you have to pay for it...glad i haven't used Xbox since like 2007 /Rant over
Except it isn't an actual person reading your e-mail, just a script that looks for keywords and gives you (sometimes) relevant ads. I see no problem unless it was an actual person.
Could you give me an example where open office saving/loading or whatever you're doing with its own files breaks the documents?
I honestly don't know when it happens, or how it happens, but at times I'll look up at my previous work, and the first word of a paragraph will disappear on each paragraph on the entire page. I think it has to do with either opening/closing the program, or if I am formatting my paragraphs later on in the document, which I do with just pressing "enter". I've also had issues where the language of a paragraph randomly changes to a foreign language. I went back to fix the missing first word error, and then my words begin writing backwards! Open Office set my language to like Arabic on the paragraph only! Another time, it starts telling me I'm spelling nearly every word wrong because I switched my whole document to French!
Have you filed bug reports about these things?
No, because I couldn't be assed to waste anymore time on the program-I needed to get work done without worrying! If I wasn't in a rush, I would have, and if I can, I'll probably do one now. I do like Open Office Calc. for organizing gym routines.
