BMP > .jpg
Still not a good start in my opinion.
Atleast its not JPeG ... but BMP isn't exactly a compact format >.<
I'd rather have pictures without the annoying jpg artifacts, than a picture that's smaller but is messed up. Besides, he can still save it as a .png and have the quality, which wouldn't be the case with .jpg.
Indeed , but right now the pic takes up WAY too much space than it needs to. The "boom" pic for example is 1.32mb , I resaved it as PNG , no quality loss and down to 43.8kb ... Quite a bit of difference there.

Yeah that was a pretty smooth animation.... but it wasn't in ms paint :smug:
That last pic was made in Pivot!
Way ahead of you mean, check my reply
Yeah, probably not good enough to compare with other people's, but still my best. Made it today, my first try at an actual, serious picture, and I had to make it with my laptop's trackpad. I had to retry three times before I got it, then just stuck it in space. Gonna work on it tomorrow and make it not look like crap.
space the stars apart more and give them random sizes. They look too... uniform...
space the stars apart more and give them random sizes. They look too... uniform...
Do you see the size differences of stars when you look up at the night sky? I sure don't.
One can see the difference in light intensity atleast , so a little difference in the brightness wouldn't hurt :)
One can see the difference in light intensity atleast , so a little difference in the brightness wouldn't hurt :)
That's what I'm doing right now. In that picture, there were only white stars. Now, I'm going back and putting in more stars with different shades of gray so they look more. . . realistic, for lack of better word.
Do you see the size differences of stars when you look up at the night sky? I sure don't.
uh... yeah? I do actually, its hard to not see them :raise: unless you live in like, new york
Do you see the size differences of stars when you look up at the night sky? I sure don't.
I feel honored that you defended me, even if for a second.
I feel honored that you defended me, even if for a second.
But the stars still shouldn't have the same luminosity. There are really bright stars, but also really dim stars.
But the stars still shouldn't have the same luminosity. There are really bright stars, but also really dim stars.
I know. I already said that I was still working on the stars.
Stars are really, really easy to do. Take the spray can, hold CTRL++ for a while (longer for a bigger canvas) and click. Short clicks. Change color to give depth.

Well, here's my first attempt at the stars. I used a technique that one of my friends had, makes the stars thicker and more layered.

Waaaaaay too many stars. Not even on the blackest winter night have I seen that many stars. It would be more fitting for snow, but it's not even good for that, seeing how we're not looking at the ground here
FUCK! Win7 paint doesn't support CTRL++? Goddammit...
Been crackin' down on them stars, now it's better looking. And I think I'm done.
Still to many stars
FUCK! Win7 paint doesn't support CTRL++? Goddammit...
I'm not even sure if Vista's Paint supports it O.o
