Progress. Are you making this a game?
Yes, I cover graphics and sound for this. The yellow guy has it's sprites done and next thing to do is to build the engine with my comrade. So far the guy can stand and run.

I love the animation on those sprites. Good luck with the project.

There's some salt within the sugar this time, don't be so picky about it.

You mean the non-MSP shading? Everything else... awesome. :)

Mindfuck.
This was supposed to be a group portrait of my airsoft team in front of this makeshift wooden shack we built out in the woods a few years back but I realized any more than one guy was going to take weeks. I started this Saturday.

And here's a .gif of the process.

Here's another WIP .gif I never finished

I hate APNGs because I don't use firefox but I absolutely love that picture, I'm honestly at a loss for words on what I could start to describe such an jawdropping piece of art.
Thanks Gregah. I would have made it a .gif but GIMP wasn't wanting to work with me.
It's a little small... I made it back when I was making a game based around the Dambusters mission.
(Sadly, all progress was lost when I was forced to reformat... This little sprite is all that's left.)
It's a Lancaster. (IMO the best WWII bird in the world.)

The number of poorly-drawn dicks in this thread is mind-boggling.
I do some sprite work for a Mega Man X fangame. Can't show anything though.

...What the hell was the point of that?
Fuck yeah, airsoft is the shit. That looks amazing, Xamllew. I expect nothing less from you.

Hot damn man, you're amazing.
Any chance you might be working on a revival of/redoing Fantastic Journey? That shit was so cash.

The idea is still on the table but it all comes down to how busy I'll be after Christmas Break. So it will either come back strong and last a good long time or it will never be seen again. :/ If I do bring it back I have a lot planned...and Tom will reach that fucking tower damn it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic journey, but I think its for the best if you don't revive it. People have hyped it up and the expectations to trump something as amazing as what you did will be really hard. I think it might be for the best if you let it rest peacefully in the awesome tomb it lies in.
Sometimes it's really for the best to leave things behind you even if they aren't finished yet, because the unfinished product is as awesome as it is.
It's kinda like a good book that leaves plenty of unfinished business ; You want to know how it ends but still don't, because your imagination has staked out a path already and because it's that not knowing that is such a sweet treat for you.
I hope it makes sense!

I lied, so here's something that got rejected.

Here's two animations I was still working on.

I respectfully disagree
go for it Xam
I think another 5 star interactive is needed from Xamllew, but I have to agree with Gregah. Perhaps a different theme?
Xamllew usually draws a bunch of war-related images, how about an interactive that has something to do with The Great War?
Just a suggestion, of course.

I think a WWI interactive would be brilliant.
Another interactive of sexual discovery would be great. I'm not really into interactives, tend to have a clear idea where I'm going.
I'm not really into interactives, tend to have a clear idea where I'm going.
Same with me. I tried to make my own interactive back then, and felt like it wasn't as non-linear that I've planned. I was subconsciously steering the story even though I wanted people to get to the end by their own actions. And I always have to draw everything too complicated. Drawing 3-4 hours to account to every event happening in the interactive gets tedious and it sucks the life out of you.
The thing with my "quiet place" interactive was that the pic was 800x600, and always illuminated only by a small lightbulb. So in fact only a fraction of the 3-4 hours of effort ever made it to the screen at one time.

Yes, let me draw you into one of my pretty pictures.
As much as I'd want to be part of your fantastic artsies, I don't even like seeing myself in the mirror let alone in a full picture, and everyone knows stick figures are for 5 second shit.
You can draw me, all I do is look in the mirror all day anyway
