It's not a LP tho....
He refuses to call them reviews, so what you're left with is usually him playing something of the first third explaining how the game works and giving you a rough overview of what he likes/dislikes - and sometimes he goes through the options menu for 10 minutes to complain about missing FOV. In many cases that's similar to a condensed version of someone's first 3-4 Let's Play episodes. Sometimes he goes out of the ordinary and offers an actual analysis on something or makes connections between ingame footage and development progress or publisher politics, but he stresses again and again there's no standards to judge his videos by other than "some guy's personal first impressions". And that's what early Let's Play episodes can offer you as well.
These are not lets plays because totalbiscuit can't even play them properly also because it's a free glorified advertisement for the person who made the game
We all have those moments in games where we completely miss the obvious solution that's right in front of us, it's just that when we see it in a video and can't tell the guy how to do it that it becomes insanely annoying
Why would you call them reviews or Let's Plays? They are not reviews as he has not finished the games and can't judge them in entirety, and they are not LPs because the focus and purpose of the videos are completely different. It's called first impressions.
I just finished this; I let the girl in but refused Dari Ludum even though his papers were in order. [sp]She still died :([/sp]

Even if you don't allow him in he'll find a way to get inside Arstotzka.[/sp] [editline]edited:[/editline] I don't really see why sp that since it mentions only a certain mechanic of the game but if you want to I will.
Shouldn't you have spoiler tagged that or something?
[sp]You need to highlight the letter and his name and then you're able to detain him. Even if you don't allow him in he'll find a way to get inside Arstotzka.[/sp]
they need to explain that better for real
Do all those stripclub advertisments you get have any meaning in the game yet?
he doesn't praise all the games he plays.
Bad PR is Still PR.
We all have those moments in games where we completely miss the obvious solution that's right in front of us, it's just that when we see it in a video and can't tell the guy how to do it that it becomes insanely annoying
Yea but TotalBiscuit has that problem all the time. everytime i watch him play it happens.
Playing a video game where you have to pay attention, while trying to do coherent commentary, is hard.
Playing a video game where you have to pay attention, while trying to do coherent commentary, is hard.
it isn't hard to talk to yourself while playing i seriously do that all the time since it helps me think better
it isn't hard to talk to yourself while playing i seriously do that all the time since it helps me think better
It is when you're trying to juggle a bunch of points in your mind, with the added nervous feeling you get from being recorded
It is when you're trying to juggle a bunch of points in your mind, with the added nervous feeling you get from being recorded
Once you have as many videos as TB you stop being nervous.
I finished the demo twice now, it's pretty short. Funny how the first time all of my relatives were cold, sick and hungry and the second time okay. The game mixes it up a bit each playthrough expect specific characters so you can't go by memory. Still, once you get used to it you get faster and check everything. I wonder about one thing. [sp]Near the end, maybe even the last day of the demo a guy comes and gives you a list with name. But when the person comes I have no idea what do except for letting him go.[/sp]
I am really impressed by the guy making an entertaining game out of this material.
[editline]29th April 2013[/editline] modding is fun
I don't understand any of these jokes, somebody explain.
it isn't hard to talk to yourself while playing i seriously do that all the time since it helps me think better
Yeah but that would make for a very shitty Let's Play. That's why most really good LPers play the game first and then edit and comment over the edited material in post. For example, Diabetus' Super Mario Galaxy 2's LP is one of the best I've seen because he very carefully thinks about what he can talk about in the video and edits out unnecessary parts.
watching TB play games is really frustrating
It makes my blood boil just hw bad he is at games
I don't understand any of these jokes, somebody explain.
there are alot of russian-speaking people that play dota 2. Cyka is like a cuss word or something i think. Russians stereotypically play Drow Ranger and Riki so basically the russian is being a dick and the player reports him. The Thank you note at the end is what happens when one of your reports is successfully punishing a player.
Watching people play this game is like watching someone play sollitaire after they told you not to give them hints.

It is also used to call female dogs like they call them bitches in english.
i just downloaded, played, and beat the game, all within 30 minutes or less. its very cool, but very short.
Well, it is a beta/demo.
i just downloaded, played, and beat the game, all within 30 minutes or less. its very cool, but very short.
The full version lasts for 30 days rather than eight.
Do all those stripclub advertisments you get have any meaning in the game yet?
[sp]The one girl tells you that it's a brothel and that she's afraid something will happen to her and the other women if you let its owner, Ludum, in. If you do let him in, the paper will read the next say that everyone at the brothel was murdered.[/sp]
I hate when I know whats wrong I just can't figure out which things to click on the detector.
