Dead Set - 7/10
Law Abiding Citizen - 8.5/10
Dead Set - 7/10
My friends dad is in that show. Andy Nyman.
Law Abiding Citizen - 8.5/10
why does everybody like this movie??? has the whole world gone retarded
Kill me for saying, but wasn't a huge fan of "No Country". I'm more of a "Big Lebowski" guy.
Have you seen Fargo? If you loved TBL, you'll love that.
Watched The Usual Suspects last night. Through most of it I was thinking "this is a decent crime thriller, not sure why it's the 24th best film according to IMDB, though". I even started worrying it was devolving into a regular action film when it gets to the shipyard - I was thinking this would be a solid 7.5-ish/10 but the best thing about it would be Spacey's performance. Then the ending changed my mind, this film is brilliant. 9/10.

The movie progresses and I thought I was watching under par shit and then it unfolds with emotion and amazingness.
I watched Hot Fuzz for the first time last night. It was a pretty good film, but the last half was incredibly silly. 8/10.
I just finished watching Resevoir Dogs for the first time a few minutes ago. Decent film, the ending feels a little weak though. I'd give it 8/10.
I watched "Bad Teacher" for some reason I can't fathom. I can only ask if it is possible to give a movie negative stars as that is what I'd like to do with that piece of crap...
Also, on the subject of The Usual Suspects - Kevin Spacey won the oscar for best supporting actor. That's bullshit, if he wasn't the lead then who was?
Just the ending, which is depressing and uplifting. The rest of the film, aside from [sp] Brad Dourif's death [/sp] was very uplifting and happy to me, despite being in such a depressing environment. It's the only film I've ever seen that has made mentally handicapped people look like...people.
Fun Fact: Danny DeVito played one of those mentally handicapped people.

[editline]1st September 2011[/editline] After Hours ***1/2 I expected this story about a man who winds up in all sorts of crazy misadventures downtown to be sort of a zany 80's comedy but it's actually a lot darker than I expected. It plays more like a Hithcock thriller. I was very caught up in the story and found it very intense at time. Also great direction from Martin Scorsese like always.
Mr. Nobody 10/10 My god, I am speechless. What an awesome movie, makes you think
Fun Fact: Danny DeVito played one of those mentally handicapped people.
And Christopher Lloyd too.
Let Me In - solid film, quite entertaining. I'm planning on watching the original soon. 8/10 The Machinist - excellent mindfuck film, solid ending and story. 8/10 Daybreakers - meh. 4/10
Fun Fact: Danny DeVito played one of those mentally handicapped people.
Yeah, kinda funny looking.
Because it was a decent film?
it was a retarded movie written by a monkey who didnt know how to make people act in a logical way
Fun Fact: Danny DeVito played one of those mentally handicapped people.
Yeah he's funny in it. [editline]1st September 2011[/editline]

I'd give it 8/10.
that's the thing about real life situations, most of the time shit like this goes down abruptly and in a totally dissatisfying and there's-a-word-for-it-just-can't-remember kind of way. it's why i like the movie so much, no one is spared just because they're lovable, in real life even lovable people get their brains blown out. same with the departed. foodstuffs we get it u have/had mental problems
just making sure there's nothing like having feds tail you and everyone you trust being in on it
one flew over the cuckoo's nest 10/10 it's one of those really nice movies that are funny dramatic and very sad. Also that red indian is one sly motherfucker
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - 9.5/10 Oldboy - 10/10 Sympathy for Lady Vengeance - 10/10 This was my first time watching the Vengeance trilogy and I thought it was pretty awesome. Oldboy was my favorite one out of the three but Lady Vengeance came close to it. Too bad Netflix has the dubbed version of Oldboy, they should really change it to the subtitled version. The dub basically mocks the movie's seriousness. Anyways, they're awesome movies and if you haven't seen them watch them ASAP. Just do yourself a favor and don't watch Oldboy on instant watch.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - 8/10. A-TEAM (2010) - 10/10. BrainDead - 100/10.
Super 8 - 6/10 Kind of had that cliché ending, bad guy becomes friendly, bad guy goes home. And maybe it would've been better if they didn't make the little kids swear, it's not right.
Is there a time in the movie where you actually get a good look at the monster?
yes, actually you see it quite a few times and often there are close ups to its face. not like cloverfield when you see it for half a second. it's like the films says "you saw that? you didn't? fuck you, you lost your chance"
Super 8 - 6/10 Kind of had that cliché ending, bad guy becomes friendly, bad guy goes home. And maybe it would've been better if they didn't make the little kids swear, it's not right.
You don't knock off four points for a cliché ending. It is overall a good film.
You got a pretty good look at the Cloverfield monster in my opinion...I know it was only for one scene, but it shows him in pretty good detail when he comes around.
true, i forgot about that scene. Anyways in Super 8 you see it much more often.
