Fight Club 10/10 Awesome.
After watching Captain America, I realised I haven't really been watching many Superhero films since Spider-Man 3, except for the Nolan Batman films and Watchmen. Captain America got me looking forward to The Avengers next year so I'm watching the connected films right now, watched the Iron Men movies over the past couple of days. They're fun superhero films, don't take themselves too seriously and Robert Downey Jr. is pretty good. I quite like the overt millionaire playboy superhero thing. Are The Incredible Hulk and Thor any good?
Are The Incredible Hulk and Thor any good?
Thor is not really a "superhero" movie, you'll understand when you watch it. But it's great fun, great special effects, simple but interesting story and awesome fight scenes. Not the best of the marvel movies but overall very entertaining.
it was a retarded movie written by a monkey who didnt know how to make people act in a logical way
The only horrid part was the ending.
Saving Pvt. Ryan - 9/10
Grosse Pointe Blank - 7/10 Surprisingly decent for what is basically a romantic comedy. Sex, Lies and Videotape - 7/10 's pretty decent too.
Hangover 2, it was awesome. 9/10
The big lebowski 9/10 it's a funny movie but not in the same way as four lions, this was more quirky. I liked it.
Apollo 18 - 3/10 Really wanted this to be good (I was excited about it for about 3ish months) but like every single 'horror' movie these days it was full OOGA BOOGA JUMPY JUMPY scenes and literally none of it made sense if you knew the slightest bit about space/shuttle launches, I mean the fucking flag they put up waves in the wind that is so clearly present on the moon, an American astronaut is suddenly skilled at piloting a Russian landing module, the mysterious aliens are in the film for about 10-20 combined seconds in which they do nothing of any interest until the very end, the two Americans comment that the Russian landing module is completely destroyed yet as I said before one of them pilots it up into space, the list goes on. Also the film came out today and there were literally like two other people besides me and my three friends in there, deary me.
Airplane! 9/10 I miss Leslie Nielsen.
Mysterious, thrilling, and sometimes funny, The Troll Hunter delivers a fresh experience to the cinema. It's really enjoyable and proves that foreign films can easily be better than Hollywood's average "rollercoaster rides". 8/10
Are the alien(s) ever on screen?
Yes a few times but very vaguely, ie quickly crawling over a camera
Attack The Block - Great film, very british, quite brutal at points and sometimes funny. 8/10
American Psycho 7/10 It was alright.
American Psycho 7/10 It was alright.
watch it a second time and that 7 will become higher.
The Big Labowski: 8/10 It was good, I liked it. I believe it's overhyped, but it was a great film. Funny in many areas. [sp]Poor Donnie. :([/sp]
gonna watch Oldboy soon since people seem to like it alot
gonna watch Oldboy soon since people seem to like it alot
Whatever you do don't watch the English dub version Seriously
Going to watch "Saw: The Final Chapter" tonight. I hated 3, 4 and 5. I liked 6, actually. Hopefully this will be better than six, but I really don't have much hope.
You're in for a treat. And by treat I mean abomination.
Sunshine - 7/10 It got off on a decent start, but later in the film it took some awful turns. [sp]The burnt member of the previous ship walking around killing them, seriously?[/sp] Had potential for a good film but it fucked up.
anyone seen dogtooth? shit's fucking crazy. i'll watch seven pounds tonight.
han shot first
Reservoir Dogs - 9/10 Not really much to say, it was just a great movie, and I'm already a big fan of Tarantino films.
horrible bosses - 8/10 i feel that the movie wouldn't have been that great without charlie day
Return of the Jedi- 10/10 Wow, all three of the original trilogy hold up today. My favorite movie of all time... Now, if only Lucas would fucking STOP with the "enhancements", we'll all be happy.
Didn't you read? The entire cast of the original trilogy will be digitally replaced with Ewoks in the upcoming bluray release.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 7/10 Blade Runner 7/10 Sin City 8/10 No Country for Old Men 9/10
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 7/10 Blade Runner 7/10 Sin City 8/10 No Country for Old Men 9/10

Blade Runner 7/10 Sin City 8/10

Blade Runner 7/10 Sin City 8/10
does-not-compute
Incorrect. "Han Shot". He was the only one TO shoot. Greedo didn't shoot at all.
that would imply that greedo never shot at all ever, and he did, just not in that version. the departed 10/10 i've watched this movie twice before, three times now. the first time i was polarized by the ending, the second time i was insanely doped up on medication so i was like "BOOM, HEADSHOT" at every headshot and laughed a lot throughout the movie. this time it all comes together in this neat little package, everyone gets what's coming to them and i like that in movies where no one is spared not just to please and not polarize the audience. there's other shit too but the really deep shit i take from movies is to abstract to put it into words, i'd probably be able to if i took a film class or there were less cobwebs in my brain. after this viewing i'm not polarized i'm satisfied and content. [sp]this time felt costigan's death was a mercy kill in the end more than anything. i imagine if he survived his life would be a terrible downward spiral. by the end of the movie he was broken, maybe not, maybe he would have pulled it together, either way now i feel his very abrupt and dissatisfying demise is alright, justified, etc. as i said there's more to it i just can't put it into words[/sp] and i'm still in love with jack nicholson, he's always been a good crazy mother fucker in his roles as one. also does anyone else wish their cellphone made that really satisfying metallic slicing sound that plays every time someone opens or closes their cellphone? plus i think it alludes to something, it reminds me of a sickle, and considering how cellphones played a huge role in the deaths of pretty much everyone maybe i'm not just making it up?
