Hey guys i think that when you rate a movie you watched you should also write the year as well, just in case someone wants to watch a trailer or fuck
Thor - 9/10 Some people hated it, some loved it. I really liked it. In my point of view it was an amazing movie (not perfect, due to the gay ass "humour sidekick" and some other stuff). The sound effects were good, the Visual effects were amazingly done. And best of all, the story. Marvel studios always has this "thing". To merge fantasy and science in such a way that it really sparks your imagination. And Thor is so far the best Marvel movie I've seen. [sp]The Bifrost parts were by far the best CGI I've seen this year. And it also had astonishing credits. The cameos (Hawkeye, Tony Stark) were surprising in a good way.[/sp] If you can bare the shitty humour and just watch it for the well paced story and amazing CGI, then I recommend it.
Speaking of sound effects, the beam in which the Destroyer shoots is just ear-shattering
The Usual Suspects 9/10 Absolutely fantastic, too bad House spoiled it for me. It was still interesting to watch it all come together and I loved the part where [sp]Spacey's stride seamlessly goes from crippled to normal[/sp]
I just saw Red State with friends and I must say it was completely brilliant. I'm not the biggest Kevin Smith fan, but the composition and tone of film blew me away. The acting was phenomenal, and the visuals/directing were awesome. 9/10. You should see this film.
Buried 9/10 That was a GOOD movie, usually you see Ryan Reynolds and expect stupid, but not this movie. This was his best work by a milestone.
In the Mouth of Madness - A pretty good Lovecraftian inspired John Carpenter horror film. 6/10
the prestige 10/10 it would have been 9 but i forgot they used one of my favorite songs in the credits
Our Idiot Brother- 8/10 went in not knowing a lot about the movie but ended up enjoying it
25th Hour - amazing acting on Edward Norton and Philip Seymour Hoffman's parts, excellent movie. Very interesting and heartfelt. 8/10
Memento - 7.5/10
uh, iron man
Even though Iron Man was good, I personally didn't like it as much as I liked Thor. And Natalie Portman was good eye candy aswell. Opinions about movies are always subjective, what one person likes, the other doesn't.
Suspiria - 8/10 Extraordinary. Slightly dated, but extraordinary. Dario Argento really is the master of his craft.
True Grit (v2) 10/10 again
Training Day - 8/10 I liked how Denzel Washington's character grew on you from a funny badass, to a egoistical prick.
Thor 9 out of10 would of gotten 10 points but had faggoty humour sidekick and stuff. cool Visual effects tho. best of all the story. Really sparked my imagination...
inglorious basterds hans landa auf das SS/10 goooooood movie
Thor 9 out of10 would of gotten 10 points but had faggoty humour sidekick and stuff. cool Visual effects tho. best of all the story. Really sparked my imagination...
dat bifrost
Serenity 9/10 I loved the dialogue. Forgot how funny it can sound when they throw in made-up words.
Serenity 9/10 I loved the dialogue. Forgot how funny it can sound when they throw in made-up words.
tell me you've seen Firefly
4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days - 8/10. Everything I love in a movie: Long takes, naturally flowing dialogue, and great acting. It falls short two points in that there was one thing one of the primary characters did that I feel was really, really fucking dumb considering the circumstances.
What was that? From what I recall that film is based on a true story
tell me you've seen Firefly
I have. It's just been awhile since I've seen any episodes.
Inglourious Basterds- 8.5/10 Some scenes dragged on for too long for me, but overall, it was a compelling, well written movie.
Don't they in every tarantino movie? (in a good way)
Hitman (2007) 8/10. Low expectations, good film!
Tarantino had one great movie in him, Pulp Fiction. Reservoir Dogs was very good, and everything else was either decent but derivative(the Kill Bill flicks, for example) or complete and utter shit, still derivative(Death Proof and From Dusk Till Dawn, for example). [editline]5th September 2011[/editline] Oh and True Romance, True Romance is actually his best work alongside Pulp Fiction.
Hitman (2007) 8/10. Low expectations, good film!
woah, you must be the first guy I've ever seen that liked the Hitman movie.
woah, you must be the first guy I've ever seen that liked the Hitman movie.
Its nice if you think of it as an action flick instead of a movie based on the Hitman games.
Saw the new Fright Night, was good, started a bit slow but I really enjoyed it by the end, David Tennant was great too. 8.5/10.
I expected an action-heavy gorefest, but instead, I got a well-written dialogue-heavy film.
That's what everyone who wasn't familiar with Tarantino thought. I blame the advertising.
