Terrance Mallick films always have such beautiful cinematography.
I mean, watch Days of Heaven for the best eye porn.
I will check it out, I already love Thin Red Line too, so I will probably love it.
Terrence Mallick is pretty amazing now that I think about it.

Days of Heaven is one of my all time favourites. That narrator's voice can't be more memorable and fitting.
pretty ironic because you're a mod and you shit post constantly, and you only use your mod powers to not get banned for your constant shit posting.
Sometimes it's funny though.

Actually was a lot better than I thought. Dialogue was good, and it had some nice pacing and drama. 7/10

i don't shitpost anywhere outside the gold forum
even if I say a movie is shit, its not just 'worst movie of all time lmao', I say I disliked it and explain why and usually make good posts about my dislike for something
how can you use mod powers to prevent being banned? you know i can be banned by admins right? i could also get demodded?
as much as you'd like to think i shitpost, I really don't.
I thought that a look back at this movie would kill it for me as I've only seen it from an 11 year old's point of view.
It didn't. Episode I was awful and Episode II was decent, but this one is fucking fantastic. I know that there's some hammy dialogue here and there, but it's nothing in comparison with Episode II.
Kill me for saying, but I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the original trilogy.
9.5/10
Episode 1 was better than episode 2.
Episode 1 was better than episode 2.
They were all pretty horrible though, as is articulated well by Harry S. Plinkett
rusty i would like to ban you for 200 hours how can i do this
POTC4: 7/10 Pretty good, like the series overall.
Unstoppable: 8.5/10 Great movie but the shakey camera gave me a bit of motion sickness.
Fright Night: 8/10 Nice to see Vampires don't sparkle any more.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes: 9/10 Great acting, solid script IMO, James Franco has never been in a bad movie (except SM3, of course). Looking forward to a sequel.
They were all pretty horrible though, as is articulated well by Harry S. Plinkett
They were all three complete and utter shit.
Children of men 9/10
very good movie
I watched the first Godfather recently and, I hate to admit, for a guy who's usually pretty high-class, I couldn't get into it.
Like, I felt like a terrible person for not liking it. Is the sequel any better? I want to like these movies.
I have seen the first Godfather, admitadly about 6 or 7 times. The first time I watched it was about when I was 13/14, and it was one of the first "long...character driven" movies I had seen.
I found it a task to see it first time and I wasn't "immersed" during the wedding scenes and bla bla... but when [sp]Brando is shot 5 times[/sp] I am like "WTF HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN SO EARLY IN THE MOVIE". From that scene on, I don't think I looked away from the screen.
Godfather 2 is a LOT more broad... it's basically both a prequel and a sequel to the first. It's arguably better, but I prefer the first for its emotion and ease of viewing (after watching it so many times).
Submarine 9/10
A very plesent film to watch, It suprised me, I wasn't expecting this quality of picture and history, it's about a 15 years old kid, his life. The film is from UK, probably the best they ever made.

9.5/10
How the FUCK do you give that piece of shit a 9.5, 10 would mean perfect and 9.5 is pretty fucking close to that.
I can no longer take your opinion on movies seriously, ever again.
Hayden Christensen must be one of the worst actors i have ever seen appearing in high budget and popular movies like star wars.
Children of men 9/10
very good movie
I can't fucking wait for his next film, Gravity. I want it NOW
Guillermo Del Toro Proclaims Alfonso Cuaron’s GRAVITY To Be ‘Mind Blowing’
I want to see it already.
I know; especially in Episode II.
"I don't like sand...it's coarse...rough and irritating...and it gets everywhere."
I have to give the prequel actors some credit though. They couldn't make some of the lines sound good if their life depended on it because they were so poorly written.
Well, that's what happens when a 60-year old man tries to write a good character slowly turning bad.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
9/10
Loved it. Classic Guy Ritchie film.

Plus I can imagine it being hard having to act in front of a fucking green screen for like 95% percent of the movie, not knowing what kind of shit they'll add in post.
X-Men first class: 9/10
This was definitely on par with Thor.
I just love this years Marvel movies.
Also, it kinda felt like all previous X-men movies were made so that they one day could make First Class, becuase it was like 20 times better than the other X-men movies.
[sp]Though I was surprised that there were no aftercredits.[/sp]
X-Men - Snore / 10
Fell asleep. Movie sucks. Tried rewatching it after First Class, couldn't do it again. Why can't they just make these things like the fucking comics? The characters don't have to look realistic when they're shooting lasers out of their eyes and morphing into other people FFS.
This is Magneto:
Thought I was the only one who didn't care for the X-Men movies.
Nope. They're progressively worse just like the prequel Star Wars trilogy. Actually, I liked Wolverine to an extent, it was the best one I'd seen until First Class, which blew Wolverine out of the water. I hate how fucking inconsistent they are, for example why is Sabretooth a giant beast looking fucker in X-Men, and Cotton Weary from Scream in Wolverine? He doesn't do or say anything to suggest he recognizes his "brother" in X-Men at all, and there's nothing to explain this. It makes sense from Wolverine's perspective, but.. ah fuck it, what a pile of shit.
whoawhoawhoa
I agree with you for the most part, but did you just call the Star Wars prequel trilogy PROGRESSIVELY worse? I think it got a little better each movie.
Episode I- 5/10
Episode II- 6/10
Episode III- 8.5/10
[editline]9th September 2011[/editline]
But that's just my opinion. I still love all of them due to the fact that I saw them at a young age.
I guess the third one was better than the first two, but they're still three stinking turds in the bowl.
Off-topic, just out of curiosity, what do you see as my avatar? I keep seeing my new one and my old one thanks to that cache script.

Those are some fucked up proportions.
Who drew that, Rob Liefeld?
And they should make a movie out of Ultimate X-Men.
Say what you will about the Ultimate imprint but UXM and Ultimate Spider-Man were some of the best ongoing comics out there before the whole Ultimatum thing.
Blue Velvet - 9/10
One of my all-time favorites and David Lynch's best work.
You have to see this if you consider yourself to be even mildly enthusiastic about cinema.
It's just one of those movies that you have to see.
