whoawhoawhoa I agree with you for the most part, but did you just call the Star Wars prequel trilogy PROGRESSIVELY worse? I think it got a little better each movie. Episode I- 5/10 Episode II- 6/10 Episode III- 8.5/10 [editline]9th September 2011[/editline] But that's just my opinion. I still love all of them due to the fact that I saw them at a young age.
what the fuck the prequel trilogy started off horribly and gets exponentially worse each film to the point where i'd give episode III negative 20 stars
It's a guilty pleasure to say the least. The first two prequels were fucking terrible, but this one felt more like one of the originals, not to say that it's on par with them. It has it's flaws, yes, but it was more of a personal opinion than a critical one. Personal opinion on how much I enjoyed it: 9.5 Critical opinion: 4/10
I enjoyed the movie very much, it's good that you're honest because some people may not have been immersed in the experience as much. I personally think it's the best of the prequels and a worthy movie. People can whine about Hayden but Ewan Mcgregor was sublime in it.
[sp]Though I was surprised that there were no aftercredits.[/sp]
yes there were
Oh yeah, and I watched Dr No last night. Good movie, although not entirely "laying out the bond formula" the first time around, it did a lot for the series and it had integrity. 7.5/10
Requiem For A dream - 7/10 Pretty good film, though it felt manipulative.
Traffic 9/10
I watched Four Lions. It was much better than I expected, I'd give it 8/10
Cowboys & Aliens - 7.5/10 It was enjoyable
Resurrecting the Champ 9/10 Great acting, great storyline. It was awesome.
I just watched SAW VI God i don't even know if i can rate that it was extremely gory, Jesus. Whoever wrote that film has serious issues. ..... maybe 6/10.
Star Wars Episode 3 is the first movie I nearly walked out of. I wish I did in retrospect.
New Rose Hotel 6.5/10 Wasn't very strong but not bad either. I am glad i've seen it though.
The Fall 8.5/10 I really liked it, there weren't a huge amount of things wrong with it, just tiny things here and there, and it's a pretty good story told through some interesting imagery in my opinion, I'd say check it out if you haven't seen it.
Bunny and the Bull - 6/10 It had a nice visual style, good editing and a few funny moments but it was very dull and forgettable. [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] I just realised that IMDB has been storing my ratings. http://www.imdb.com/user/ur22851241/ratings
Leon 9.3/10
Just finished watching Karate Kid (2010). A lot of stamps and a very predictable ending (still a good movie though, Jackie Chan is still in shape), but that was nothing until I heard Justin Bieber in the credits. *facepalm* 6/10 (would be 7/10 if not JB)
Lord of the Rings Trilogy - 10/10 One of the best trilogies ever.
Maverick 8/10 I liked Mel Gibson before he went all crazy.
Never Let Me Go 8/10 Was a surprisingly great film.
the fall: 7.8/10 i actually enjoyed this a fair bit and i dont really know why it was an average aronofsky pretentious hipster flick i had no idea what was happening and the wife was homely so i didnt care when she[sp]died[/sp] but overall i found it quite enjoyable, which surprised me.
Are you fucking stupid? Just because it's stylized and shit doesn't mean it's hipster. It's pretty unique and the style for once is nice and colourful.
Even though I like Aaron, a lot of pretentious hipsters DO love his films unconditionally [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] I'm just saying, I can see why he would think that [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] Red State, 8/10 I am pretty sure he just tried to make each event more unexpected than the last. As the poster suggests, this is the last thing you'd expect Kevin Smith to make. But it was awesome.
Die Hard 4.0 (Live Free or Die Hard), 6.9/10 I gave it a weird rating, because I have weird feelings about the movie. It's a great action movie, but it just didn't feel like a Die Hard film. Again, it's a good action film, but as a entry into the Die Hard series, it falls short.
Phantasm - 7/10 The acting was pretty bad and it didn't make a whole lot of sense, but I really love weird shit like this. It also had some really scary midgets
Charlie Wilson's War 9/10
Old dogs 0/10 Valentine's Day 0/10 When you're forced to watch crap with friends...........
In a better world (Hævnen - original title) 10/10 I really liked it, It's focused on forgiveness and Revenge, It explores realy well those two issues
Old dogs 0/10 Valentine's Day 0/10 When you're forced to watch crap with friends...........
Oh god old dogs. When I was on this shitty 7h ferry, they played "Old Dogs"...twice...in a row. I felt like jumping off the boat.
Contagion 8/10 Solid movie imo, had a cool soundtrack as well.
Oh god old dogs. When I was on this shitty 7h ferry, they played "Old Dogs"...twice...in a row. I felt like jumping off the boat.
I feel for you. Let's hug and embrace and suffer together.
