Just watched Bronson I don't even know, odd movie. Cinematography was great though and so was Tom Hardy
I enjoyed it a lot, I especially enjoyed "QUICKER QUICKER QUICKER QUICKER RIGHT FUCK OFF SIT DOWN"
Doubt 10/10 Hancock 7/10
How young ARE YOU?
maybe it's because i knew [sp]what rosebud meant[/sp] before i watched it but i couldn't get a quarter way through it. i didn't like the acting either. also we spent like 2 months in history class learning about the guy the movie is based off of. i really couldn't care less.
Chinatown 11/10 Everything about this film is beautiful. If anyone hasn't had the chance to see this masterpiece, see it now.
North By Northwest 8½/10 A very good movie. The story is interesting, the dialogue is great and the whole movie was really enjoyable.
I enjoyed it a lot, I especially enjoyed "QUICKER QUICKER QUICKER QUICKER RIGHT FUCK OFF SIT DOWN"
That was definitely the highlight
edit: eh nevermind
North By Northwest 8½/10 A very good movie. The story is interesting, the dialogue is great and the whole movie was really enjoyable.
Watch Vertigo.. is so good.
Watch Vertigo.. is so good.
Will do, thanks for the recommendation.
Apocalypse Now 5 hour workprint - 10/10 Absolutely mesmerizing.
Wha, where'd you watch it?
No point watching the workprint... the quality is poor. It's a lot more definitive to watch it how it was intended.
Fast & Furious 5 8/10, surprisingly good. The Rock's acting was top notch. Priest 7/10, pretty good. Not sure about the ending, though.
No Direction Home: Bob Dylan 9.5/10 Great documentary by Martin Scorcese. Really gripping 3 and a half hours... probably the longest documentary I've watched too.
Watch Vertigo.. is so good.
Aren't all Hitchcock films? The man is an undeniable genius. Anyway I just got back from seeing the new Harry Potter, probably 7.5/10? It was really enjoyable but the ending was a bit dodgy. And I am now watch The Birds because I don't know why I've not seen it yet will report back hopefully with a high rating [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] Oh yeah and yesterday I watched The Day The Earth Stood Still. The 1951 version, not the remake At least an 8/10, fantastic film. The special effects continued to wow me for it being something 60 years old. The story was great, especially for the time considering most alien films of the 50s were based around the Russians and the Cold War whereas in this the US were not specific to the landing, it was for the whole world. Which I liked.
Exam - 6/10 This films ending was one of those you think. It's not that bad, then you reflect on it and realise it was horrible. Apart from that it was a decent watch.
Tombstone (1993) The storyline played out really odd also everyone's mustaches looked really out of place and what the hell is Kurt Russel doing in a field of red flowers laughing??? 7/10
The Birds (1963) 8/10 I guess, really good Very strange plot (basically a town is attacked by birds) but it was executed brilliantly, it had some really really great suspense, and there were some really clever scenes in it. And the entire lack of any music was cool. It could have made the film boring I guess, but hey. It's Alfred Hitchcock, he could pretty much do anything that he wanted in films and make it work perfectly.

Daphne du maurier is one crip-ass nigga
Election 2 7.5 Good but not as good as 1. Good continuation though.
Pierrot Le Fou: 9/10. My second most favourite Godard film behind Vivre Sa Vie. It's just incredible film making, and it's actually a pretty sad film.
i love tombstone
Hesher 8/10 The story never really goes anywhere but it's a really entertaining movie.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes 8.5/10 Yeeah, I was a little bit too excited about this movie, but after reading a little bit I realized that well, yeah the movie isn't that great and a lot of the plot get's going solely because people are acting like idiots for some reason.
Attack The Block 7.4/10 I enjoyed it a lot, some might not because of the gang culture but I thought it brought the heart out of them. :>
Rise of the Planet of the Apes 10/10 Powerful movie all the way through
I don't know about you, but for me, a movie has to be alot more than just powerful all the way through to get a full 10.
Spaceballs 7/10 Not my favorite Mel Brooks film but still has plenty of hilarious dialogue.
9th ROTA(Company) 10/10 Really underrated.
I don't know about you, but for me, a movie has to be alot more than just powerful all the way through to get a full 10.
no such thing as a 10/10 imo, because 10/10 implies that it can't get any better. To me at least. I know some people don't think that way, but that's just the way I take it since obviously it can't go past full marks :v: Anyway, I just watched Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" (1971) Oh god It was horrifyingly messed up but I loved it so much 9.5/10 Proper masterpiece. I could go on but I think that it'd be better to just watch it because it's simply put fucking amazing
killing someone with a giant dick. priceless moments like this brought to you by stanley kubrick the only problem i had with the film was the lack of depravity that's in the novel. i don't remember much of the novel but i do remember alex fucking, maybe even raping underage girls he was taking advantage of and shit like that. also there's little to no implication in the film why they even drink milk. [sp]it's got fuckloads of uppers in it[/sp] that's why they call it moloko plus also in the novel, i think only in the extended one i had a copy of it ends with alex putting away his devious ways and becoming a normal citizen
lol that was actually so clever because of who Alex was and what he did. [sp] I mean, he raped one woman (eventually leading to her death), and then murdered the cat-lady with the penis statue, in the course of 2 days. and you can definitely tell he's hurt many more beforehand, it definitely didn't seem like this was a first at all. It's ironic too I guess because his abuse of women and eventual murder ended up bringing his own punishment, and of course, rape tends to leave massive, massive mental scarring in the victims, and I think it fair to say Alex suffered some serious mental fuckery. And they destroyed his greatest joy as well, Beethoven's 9th.[/sp] [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] Oh and how fucking fantastic was the soundtrack and they way it was used seriously
