Psycho 10/10
One of the best horror movies of all time, and I finally found out why
Pineapple express 6/10
Pretty funny, but way funnier if you are on drugs. That's why it's a stoner movie.
Knocked up 7/10
Enjoyable but nothing special
Knocked Up is not better than Pineapple Express.

Sparrow 6/10
Nicely made but missing edge.
The sunset limited

It's slow as hell, because it was originally meant to be a dramatic play rather than a film, but the writing of Cormac McCarthy and the direction by Tommy Lee Jones make this a powerful, dark and almost disturbing look into the mind of a man who aims to be a commuter on the sunset limited, and a man drawn to save him from that. 9/10

Unless he rates movies below -10000/10 yeah.

"Vertigo" by Alfred Hitchcock, (1958, 1996 restoration)
A strong 7/10, I think. It's not my favourite Hitchcock film, I can say that at least. It was good though. I did find myself getting rather bored of it though. Specifically after [sp]Madeleine died and Judy came in. Up until he started to work it out, at least. Loved it after that, just a classic Hitchcock moment. I feel that most of the film dragged on a little too long and had a lot of pointless scenes. Or at least, scenes that could definitely be improved.
I kinda wish there was more insight into what I guess could be called Scottie's madness. Or at least a greater view inside his head.[/sp]
I mean I understand that one of the main points of the film was that this whole "possession" thing was a total lie, and while I didn't want it to end up being true because that'd just be kinda silly, I'd have liked to see more of it. It was touched on not enough to satisfy and too much to be referenced in passing or something.
I don't think it's so much the film as it is me though. I'll probably watch it again to see if I enjoy it more the second time round.

All stoner comedies are inferior to Cheech & Chong, except for Harold and Kumar.
stoner comedy should die

The Jurassic Park re-release - 10/10
Possibly the greatest cinema experience of my life so far. There were three other people in there excluding me and my three friends, leaving us to take the top middle seats so we could see everything perfectly. It was fucking brilliant on a big screen too, never has a man getting eaten by a t-rex off of a toilet looked or sounded so amazing.

"Rear Window" by Alfred Hitchcock (1954)
Strong 8/10 I think. intelligent, unique and clever plot, really grippingly told and fantastically well done (it was a bit dangerous in that it could really have been done badly) but it was done really well and I loved it.
About a professional photographer who had an accident while doing a dangerous shoot, and had his leg broken so he's wheelchair bound, and to pass time he spends most of his day looking out his apartment window into other apartments (there's a heatwave so they're open to cool down. because Alfred Hitchcock's cause and effect structure is just that fucking solid, he won't have anyone question ANYTHING :v:), watching their lives etc. Eventually he notices something suspicious going on in one of the flats, and begins to investigate with the help of his caretaker (because of his leg) and girlfriend, to try and find out if their suspicions are correct.
A brilliant suspense/thriller film, masterfully done and definitely worth watching. Recommend this for sure.
Still haven't seen it on the big screen.
Let alone seen it at all...
It'll probably get around to the US and Canada eventually, nothing good ever only comes to the UK.
