Decided I wanted to watch The Lion King again.
I remember this being sad when I was a kid, but it fucking destroyed me as an adult

One of the best movies of all time.
Lion King is great but I wouldn't call it one of the best of all time
Maybe one of Disney's best
Disney is really good at telling stories, but the problem is how basic the stories are. For me, while they're expertly made with great acting, animation, all that jazz, they lack a lot of depth and still feel very shallow and often obvious.
I rewatched The Lion King, and it felt like it was over in 10 minutes, and nothing much even happened.
well they are made primarily for children to enjoy

Tarzan is also one of their best.

8/10
i really loved that movie as a kid. it was really good this time too.
Interview with a Vampire: 8.5/10
I know this is old, however it is a great movie created from an excellent book.
Cross of Iron. Probably one of the best anti-war films of the 1970s.
7.8/10
they lack a lot of depth
Why are you looking for depth in a kids movie?
Watched The Elephant Man, it's superb.
9/10
Had tons of heart.
Not gonna lie, The Elephant Man had me shed a few tears.
Don't go the rusty route please.
Don't be so insensitive, you know Rusty's condition is a condition you're born with.
You don't just "go the rusty route" overnight, it doesn't work that way.
Why are you looking for depth in a kids movie?
Pixar.
Pixar.
Are you serious?

They're made for kids, rusty.
Winnie The Pooh (2011) 8/10
it was warm movie
I honestly tried watching winnie the pooh and though I can rewatch classic disney and pixar films and still enjoy them, that one just felt WAY too kiddie.
I couldn't finish it
the crazies 1/10
evil capitalist propaganda to keep us from drinking the tap water

Drive

You're never too old to watch cartoons. It's all in the mindset
You're never too old to watch cartoons. It's all in the mindset
I generally believe this too but even still I couldn't get into the new winnie the pooh
it was cute but it's really not as much a family film as it is a kids film
Lost Season 4, again, I know it isn't a movie but whatever.
8/10. I'd say the second best next to Season 2. Only problems with it were the short length (only 14 episodes as opposed to the usual 25ish) and FUCKING CLIFFHANGER ENDINGS GOD DAMN WHY [sp]WAS LOCKE IN THE COFFIN[/SP]

Just watch Cast Away...
it's 10 times less frustrating than Lost and makes a whole lot more sense on the whole.

but I like long shows, I like the confusion and the frustration, it's what makes it fun to watch
I like having to go to lostpedia after every episode, reading over everything again and still only understanding 60% of what happened in the episode
Watched Hang 'Em High yesterday. Probably 6.5/10.
Clint Eastwood is great, but the film itself feels like a TV movie, and there are places where shots linger for too long and make it feel really slow and dragging. Couple of good bits, one really great scene where [sp]the cattle rustling kids get hanged along with the other criminals[/sp]. That was quite powerful. Some badass Clint Eastwood moments too, but it's nothing like the Dollars films, which I was expecting after seeing it offered in a boxset with them a while ago.
Watched Burke & Hare today, enjoyed it. 8/10.
Others seem to have given fairly negative reviews (36% on Rotten Tomatoes, 6.1 on IMDB), but I thought it was pretty good. I always like it when comedies try to make bad people into sympathetic characters (Four Lions). Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis are great, and there are cameos by a bunch of great British actors (ranging from Christopher Lee to Ronnie Corbett). I liked the black humour, and found a lot of the humour to be quite subtle too. It's also nice to see a comedy which isn't longer than it needs to be, as seems to be a trend lately.

Once you finish watching all of them, you'll feel good because I do like the ending. But then you'll also feel disappointment that they didn't create a bigger intensity.
Enjoy it while it lasts, but seriously... watch Cast Away.
100 pages of pure awesome.
wooow. just saw drive. a lot of my friends said it was good but too slow for their taste which usually means it's perfect for me. i found it to be quite awesome indeed. the trailer really made it up as some fast paced action filled getaway driver movie. it was so much more than that. and those 80s sounding tracks are right up my alley.
9/10 and it will probably be even better the second time.
Seven Pounds - 9/10
Seen this at the cinema when it was released and i'm glad I forgot almost everything about it because it was great to realize what was about to happen again. Pretty depressing ending though, but also really nice. And it's a shame Will Smith doesn't act as much anymore.

That was depressing as fuck, even by Cronenberg's standards.
