There's some cool sets and action scenes and stuff, but there was a lot of stuff that confused me. like why is there a boat in a bottle? and why can Blackbeard move things with his mind? and I didn't know a mermaid grows legs when they go on land. yeah it's all magic i guess but in the first movie there was only a little bit of fantasy elements with the skeletons and the curse thingy but now in the series they're just throwing it in all the time just for the sake of it. Also the romance between that bible dude and the mermaid seemed forced. whatever. the last movie I felt was a bit overstuffed, but it was a cool grand fitting ending to the series. This just seems like leftovers.

I loved the 80's vibe, the pacing, the brutal violence, the lighting and yeah everything else about it EXCEPT for the song that played at the end- instead of bringing me into an euphoric state, ending the film on a high-note, it just made me think about how bad of a song it was.

I give it a 8/10 for being fucking scary, in my opinion, though it did have alot of plot holes they never addressed. Though they did pull a cheap ass move by tying up the shit they forgot about with that oh so common " let's show it during the credits " thing some movies do now adays.

But it wasn't at all scary. It never had a scary, claustrophobic, isolated, and paranoid vibe.

In my opinion, I found it scary, though that's due to the fact that I'm easily scared by a ton of stupid shit, i.e. those jump scares they did a couple times. Though I agreed with you on it not having the claustrophobic, isolated, and paranoid vibes, especially when the entire movie they had the option to just hop in one of those snow mobiles and drive off.
Green Lantern - 2/10
I give this a 2 because I have the benefit of the doubt that I did not actually see the whole thing and kinda felt a bit sick.
So the threat against the universe is an unmanifested vague yellow power called fear with no real limits or power levels. It is being fought with the vague green power of will power whose only limit seems to be it's weaker than yellow. Excited? You should be! The problem with this god damn movie is nothing is fuckin solid. They have the power to create crazy stuff with their mind but they use it in the most boring way possible.
About an hour in there was finally an action scene and 75% of that fight was spent with neither the villain nor our hero moving. They were lying on the ground next to eachother fighting eachother with vague indescribable forces that didn't physically hurt eachother. When something like Gurren Lagann did amazing will power battles. they channeled it into mechs and physically fought eachother. This movie skips the mechs and just has people fighting eachother with nothing. And it's boring as fuck.
He doesn't even do any super hero-ing really. Is he saving the universe? Not til the end. Is he going around earth trying to make it a better place? No. He gets an amazing power and just decides to do nothing. He dwells on his boring life and takes his girlfriend out for a flight.
