Pretty please, I would love some recommendations.
The Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, Dawn of the Dead(1978), Die hard, Flipped, Disturbia... some movies I like to watch.
Pretty please, I would love some recommendations.
Paths of Glory, Tree of Life, M, Babel, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles". Choose.
Paths of Glory, Tree of Life, M, Babel, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles". Choose.
I've heard about Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but I have no idea whats it like. I'm guessing comedy, but could you please tell me a little about it?
Sometimes I love subtitles, other times it's easier to just "try and hear" what they're saying all the time because real life doesn't have subtitles.
I basically depend on subtitles since I'm deaf in high pitches, I can get away with it on most TV shows, but on films, especially American ones I've got no chance.
Well, guys, what should I watch tonight?
I watched a few last night you might like Don't be afraid of the Dark - 6/10 - loved the whole concept of the film but don't like how it was laid out, the parents were idiotic at times where as the kid had the best acting in the film, still worth a watch through if you like Del Toro but not his best Horrible Bosses - 8/10 - I know that some people are put off by it but I loved it, Charlie Day was sublime in this film and I can't remember where Ive ever laughed so much in my life, all the cast was great The Big Lewboski - 9/10 - loved it more than the first time I watched it dude I need some suggestions for tonight through
has anyone here watched Ghost dog: way of the samurai? I have a copy of it here and I'm thinking about watching it
The Adventure of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn Holy shit, amazing movie. 10/10
well if you didn't mean to be a dick you could have easily formed the same sentence without calling him stupid. you dick
Because anyone watching those movies is stupid (myself included for watching the first one).
The Prince of Egypt. **** Animation at its best, people.
The Adventure of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn (2011) I enjoyed it. Haddock's the man. Nothing memorable though. 8/10
Just watched The Mist (2007) Fuck me if that isn't one of the most bleak, depressing movies I've ever seen. The overall ending is positive, but my god does it make you feel like shit 10/10, if only because of how incredible they managed to capture how bleak something like that would be. Fuck.
I love the hell out of The Mist. That ending.
Halloween 4.5/5 It's scariness factor might have worn off a bit over the years with more gruesome stuff these days, but it's still a very enjoyable movie.

Might have to watch it again on Halloween or something.
Watched Virgin Suicides. 8/10 Didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Sofia Coppola is an inspired director.
i really liked sofia coppolas lost in translation. i dont usually enjoy romantic films, but i love it.
i really liked sofia coppolas lost in translation. i dont usually enjoy romantic films, but i love it.
That quiet section towards the end was spectacular. I don't know how she managed to make it seem so real.

[editline]29th October 2011[/editline]
i really liked sofia coppolas lost in translation. i dont usually enjoy romantic films, but i love it.
It probably counts as a 'romantic comedy' but if it is it's one of the few examples of that genre that don't seem like they were written for people with brain damage.

I loved 1408, one of the better physiological thrillers. [sp]The part where his dead daughter is brought back only to die in his arms is extremely fucked up.[/sp]
Contagion 7/10 Boring in some ways, but very interesting.

Y'know I've always pictured Nicolas Cage as the protagonist in that movie. John Cusack is very good, but I just keep seeing Nicolas Cage being perfect in that role.
Couldn't think a good place to post this, figured that this is kinda like a general movie thread so [thumb]http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3403/pa290351.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/3310/pa290353.jpg[/thumb] Metropolis 9/10 A Clockwork Orange 9/10 127 Hours 8/10 Tron 7.5/10 Soundtrack 10/10 I'll frame them soon
I disliked 127 Hours.
I have also Dark Knight Rises poster but I need to get Batman Begins poster and then I'll put all 3 on a wall.
Metropolis 9/10
Where did you get it? Also, Defendor 10/10. It's on my top 10 list. [editline]30th October 2011[/editline]
I have also Dark Knight Rises poster but I need to get Batman Begins poster and then I'll put all 3 on a wall.
I've got the joker one, 'Why so serious in blood etc'
Where did you get it?
Found it in a random shop at Belgium where I were last week :v: My dad had this somewhere, but it's all almost torn apart
The Departed (2006) 10/10 The most unpredictable movie I ever saw. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.
