True, good thing I had only seen about 2 of those movies in that list. Sorry.
I read earlier this week that a guy saw Lost in Translation and really enjoyed it. I gave it a shot. Really awesome and beautiful movie, not the actual cheap romance crap you usually see.
Really well done, with great acting and set (Tokyo).
easily 8.5/10
War Horse is coming December. Although it's mainly about a horse there's some big focus on the British forces during WW1.
I saw that in the theatre here. I was moved, but for some reason I doubt the movie will have the same effect. See... the theatre version uses puppet horses that are controlled by the actors on stage. It sounds tacky but the way they do it makes it so heartwarming and realistic that you actually feel something for it.
Where as the movie version which will obviously dramatise the horse aspect and make it like a Black Beauty kind of movie.

You didn't even watch it. And you admit you didn't want to watch it because it was anime. Good for you.

Guess its too deep 4 me??
I've watched the movie three times.
Dr. Heiter is just so cool, man.
Real Steel - 4/5
It was an amazingly entertaining movie. It borrows a bit too much from the book of Rocky but the fights are pretty great, the drama is actually really good, and it didn't take itself too seriously nor too sillily. I would recommend it. My favorite part was 2 things:
1. They actually explain the underdog robot really well, like to the point that it makes perfect sense he would be able to do all this amazing stuff and yet still be considered a pile of trash to the general public.
2. It's nice to see robots fight eachother and actually have some good filming, choreography, and know what's going on. It's not transformers where Michael Bay is being a complete idiot with the camera and just dangling the equivalent of keys in front of the it.
My least favorite parts of the movie was:
1. Borrowed a bit too much from other underdog stories. The ending especially. Can't tell if it's referencing them or just flat out stealing from them, but it was pretty obvious.
2. Some storylines this movie starts up but really goes nowhere. Most specifically the female love interest in this story. But they're pretty underplayed so it doesn't get in the way too much.
Rewatched Tremors for like the fourth time.
8.5/10. It's a very fun film.
Mary Poppins - 8/10
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - 8/10
Bedknobs and Broomsticks - 9/10
Yes I went on a classic disney movie marathon. Mostly gave them high scores because they are childhood movies of mine.
reign of fire/: 7/10
Night of the Living Dead (1968) - 7/10
I'd never seen the grandad of all zombie films before, until today. I had to do a lot of suspending of disbelief, being accustomed to modern movies, but it was still enjoyable. I can only imagine how scary this must've been back when it was released.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) 7/10

instead of rating this movie give me the name of a even shittier one.
Drive
~8?/10
I... I honestly don't know what to think. I really, really hate movies that try to be ~artsy~, but this one had some great story and drama, I just feel like every shot was held too long with nothing happening. I liked it, but I had a lot of little things that I didn't like about it. I wish they had developed more story about his driving skills, I mean, you see him do one job, one stunt, and that's it. The rest of the story goes from there.
Drove an hour to catch this bad boy in the theater:

This was my second time watching it, and this was definitely a better experience. Now that I knew the plot, characters, and funny lines, I was able to lose myself in the movie. One thing I like (I think I read this somewhere) is that the Ghostbusters aren't superheroes - they're exterminators. They get tired, they get dirty, they mess up. This makes them more human and relatable.
Also Bill Murray is amazing.
The special effects have aged pretty well, although the big screen highlights the more dodgy stuff like matte paintings, the obvious running animation on the terror dogs, and the greenscreen on the roof.
Overall, it's a very enjoyable film with great writing and acting. 9/10

He drives almost for almost 80% of the time in the movie, he just doesn't get in chases all the time.
And I like the mystery of not knowing how he got those skills, you can imagine yourself all the heists he did.
Yeah, I really liked that it was just based off a portion of his life, and not his life story. It was a neat little package. And not knowing he's so bad ass at the start and never really knowing how he came to be so bad ass was all part of the charm, because he looks like such a nice and average dude, who just does some dirty work for cash. But then he starts stomping cunts, and it's awesome. Because you don't really know about his past, it's hard to know what he'll do next some of the time, whether or not he's equipped to deal with the situation or how he's gonna handle it. That was all part of the reason it was so great, his character was kind of a mystery, but a very charming one.
Love Guru - 8/10
I laughed my ass off when I saw the manager's office.

Rusty is going to rape your innards.
Not before I do. That movie was fucking awful.
the only reason I found it funny was because I watched it with friends, any slightly comic movie is funnier with friends.
Dude, you rated it an 8/10. In my opinion, anything 8 or over is considered "great".
I never rated it anything, I haven't seen the movie in months
Faces in the Crowd 10/10
One of the best movies I have seen in a long while
And I watched The Big Lebowski (1998) - 7.8/10
Great movie, but not as good as people say :(
I guess I expected too much?
Well it may sound dumb, but I don't really rate it for how much I find it humerous. The only things I'd find completely hilarious is some stand up comedy and old slapstick stuff.
The Big Lebowski isn't really laugh-out-loud funny for 90% of the thing. Most of the times you laugh at the absurdity of the situations or characters.

Yes.
Freddie Got Fingered is genuinely a godawful movie, but it's unbelievably hilarious because it's absurd.
Disaster Movie.
To this day, it just might be the worst film I have ever seen.
Epic Movie too

Not that Big Lebowski is godawful because the characters are brilliant imo.
due to gay internet (stuck on 1GB up and down limit bandwidth) can't watch movies until like next year
Can someone catch me up with recently released movies?
I give human centipede 2
10 barf bags out of 10
Please note that this form of rating is based on how fucked up it is
On a regular scale , I give it a 2
The Human Centipede isn't that bad. Try "Salo: 120 Days Of Sodom" someday. That's the most disgusting/disturbing movie I've ever seen. The director was apparently murdered for it.
