M (1931) 9/10 Very good, interesting movie. I have always found ethical questions like that to be very interesting. Some scenes seemed to drag on a little bit. The movie's style and lack of music is kind of weird, but it could just be because of when the movie was made. Also, I'm not sure if changing either would have improved it or not. I think that the last scene with the weeping mothers could have been done better, or maybe even omitted. It just kind of like it's saying "This is the moral of the story" in big neon lights even though what the movie was really talking about was explained thoroughly in the preceding scene. I think it may have just been included to make the movie more palatable to the censors.
Shit's on youtube, I should watch it soon.
X-Men: First Class 8/10 I loved [sp]Wolverine's cameo[/sp] but too bad [sp]there was no Stan Lee cameo[/sp]
Do people find the LOTR films boring or bad? Just because you find them slow paced doesn't make them into some kind of badly made trash. There's so much dedication and attention to details put in to those movies.
did you even read my post? it has nothing to do with how slow paced the movie is. i actually like slow paced movies [editline]4th June 2011[/editline]
It's slightly highly regarded, but it's different. Therefore interesting. [editline]4th June 2011[/editline] Do the same people who like LOTR like Godfather or Apocalypse Now as much?
the godfather isn't as good as everybody says it is but apocalypse now redux is phenomenal
Forrest Gump - 9.5/10 First time watching it. Better late than never. I really enjoyed it even though I usually don't like older movies.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy 9/10 Would be higher, but that's 9 hours I'll never get back.
the godfather isn't as good as everybody says it is but apocalypse now redux is phenomenal
True, probably a personal thing... It's not as artistic as Apocalypse Now, doesn't compare.
True, probably a personal thing... It's not as artistic as Apocalypse Now, doesn't compare.
but they are the same film with additional footage
but they are the same film with additional footage
I think he was talking about The Godfather.
o
o
In a way Apocalypse Now is Godfather's freaky colourful friend. I personally thought The Conversation had more depth than Corleone.
i saw Piranha 3D, i'll give it a 6/10 but i liked it, the twist in the end was uncalled for, and where are my flying piranhas damn it?? i prefer this over the 80's one tho
Unknown 7/10 The ending twist was meh. Although overall it was exiting and fun. Hangover 2 6.5/10 Stupid humor but anyway it was worth two or three chuckles. I didn't really like Bangkok tho. Insidious 7.5/10 Didn't scare me but it was rather creepy. The thing i like is that it actually makes sense and explained clearly what was going on. Usually films like these don't.
"Growing Op" Pretty good. Amazing ending. 8/10
X-Men: First class 8.5/10
Drive Angry 6/10
Law abiding citizen 8/10 I liked it, alot. Reminds me that the justice system is fucked and that Gerard butler is awesome.
F for Fake 9.5/10
Field of Dreams 8/10 Cried like a baby, need to sort this out, it's becoming a habit of mine.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame - 7/10.
Lucky Number Slevin. 9/10 good casting, great writing and a good plot twist that is clear to the end. Very well done.
Red Faction: Origins. 2/10 Utterly shite in plot.
X-Men: First Class: 8/10 Has less awesomeness than the first couple movies.
There Will Be Blood 9/10 Didn't expect ruthless aggression, I expected depth. It's up there with other hilarious, sadistic character developements.
9/10, a far cry from his Twilight performances.
Watchmen 9/10
Surprisingly I hadn't seen this until last night: Donnie Darko - 9/10 Honestly, I think it deserves all the praise. One of the most well-written films I've seen. Not to mention it was one of the few movies I've watched where I've actually sat back and said "wow." This movie was great, and it made it even better that I didn't know a thing about it before I watched it.
Total Recall 8/10 Can't believe I just saw it for the first time yesterday lol. Took me long enough.

Cult classic that is worth the hype. If you like good writing try Lucky Number Slevin, great cast, plot, and writing makes for a brilliant film that few people have seen.
a brilliant film that few people have seen.
Actually it's pretty damn popular for a film that has a budget of fourteen dollars. It's on the imdb's top 250 and this is probably the seven hundredth time I've heard it mentioned on this forum.
