This would be a typical movie that could easily disappoint. But it didn't. I can say with confidence that I loved this movie. The character development was good, the story was perhaps not the most realistic, but bare in mind this is a cartoon, and it did follow the roots of the old Tintin cartoons, of which I watched a lot when I was young. This film is filled with lots action and adventure-substance. Even if you look hard I doubt you'll be able to find one boring moment in the movie. That being said, some of the action sequences feel a bit Hollywoodified and over-the-top. I should mention that I'm the type of guy who finds nearly all CGI-animated movies tacky. This movie felt natural. Throughout the movie I didn't think a whole lot about the fact that it was animated, because despite the cartoony characters whom, if I may add, look just like in the old cartoons and comics, the animated style felt at home. To summarize the story was good, the production quality was superb, the acting was great and it all fit together well. It lived up to the expectations, and the cast delivered. Watch this movie.

"paging dr faggot!! paging dr faggot!!" lmao!! #comedy i hate those kinds of jokes
That was probably the worst thing in the whole movie.
That was probably the worst thing in the whole movie.
The whole movie was like that (and bad).
in a way, I enjoyed The Hangover. But looking further into it, it's not a movie I'd want to rewatch.
i didn't enjoy it at all and I would never want to have the misfortune of seeing it again
is Oliver Stone's Vietnam War trilogy any good?
10/10 Really good, funny, and this is the best ever: "Kiddie Ride Operator: Hey, kid, no eating on the ride, blue shirt. Kid: Suck it, douchebag!" (the kid is 9 or 10) Also fucking Eddie Murphy.
Well this review is helpful as it did help me decide whether or not I'd want to see the movie and based on the fact that the supposed funniest joke in the movie is a kid simply using vulgar language this is not a movie I would like to see.
Black Hawk Down 9/10 Only 9 because some of the camera angles were wonky. [editline]12th November 2011[/editline] But honestly, it had a "Saving Private Ryan" feel, and the battle scenes weren't only badass, some moments were heartbreaking.
is Oliver Stone's Vietnam War trilogy any good?
YES, although I've only seen Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July, you should watch it.
mr. popper's penguins 6/10 Silly movie. if it weren't for Jim Carrey it would have been a 1.
Personally I really don't like Jim Carrey. His slap-physical comedy strikes me as obnoxious and tiresome to watch.
I saw some movies forgot their names average 8/10 i'm a lazy cunt
I saw some movies forgot their names average 8/10 i'm a lazy cunt
Whats the point of even posting your ratings in this thread if you aren't even going to bother finding out the names of the movies you watched?
It's pretty damn intense, especially for a kids film.
The Road, so depressing. 10/10
Jack And Jill 6.3
Tucker and dale v.s Evil A great movie, laughed alot. But i give this a 8/10. Spoilers: [sp] I did not like how the last person of the "kids" died. It was quite clever, but i would like to see him die in another way. Besides that, it was an awesome movie [/sp]
YES, although I've only seen Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July, you should watch it.
If I manage to watch ALL THREE in one night, will I be winner? [editline]12th November 2011[/editline]
Personally I really don't like Jim Carrey. His slap-physical comedy strikes me as obnoxious and tiresome to watch.
Hey ringworm.... watch Me, Myself and Irene.
Our Idiot Brother - 6.7/10 It was entertaining on some parts but mostly boring and uneventful.
Just came back from seeing J. Edgar 8/10. Very accurate look at Hoover's life, from the atmosphere of the time down to how characters are portrayed. There's some weird casting and make-up with some characters (Nixon has some very odd hair), but I thought the film was solid overall. The approach the film takes - switching back between the past and the "present" of Hoover's life - makes for some very interesting scenes and an interesting premise overall. If you love DiCaprio or American History, you'll probably love the movie. Don't know why a lot of reviewers are railing on the film; at least Ebert gave it a 3.5 (which is very good by his standards; he loved it). It's best if you're interested in American History; if you're not I can see why some people won't find it entertaining. It's not a movie designed to criticize Hoover, but to look at him and who he was. Also, @crossdressing & Hoover's homosexuality: [sp]the film does go into it a little bit. There's a lot of good scenes about J. Edgar's sexuality, between his mother claiming she would rather have a dead son than a transvestite son, to the crescendoing of his and Clyde's relationship, to Hoover putting on his mother's clothes and having a nervous breakdown. It's not the focus of the film, and it's only a secondary theme.[/sp] The themes of the film are definitely [sp]whether stretching the rules for a greater good is OK, how the personal life of an individual can affect the professional, corruption, political apathy, and how the leader goes hand-in-hand with the entity he/she is leading.[/sp]
can't say no to leo dicaprio
can't say no to leo dicaprio
'Tis true, especially since he pulled off Hoover like crazy. He looks exactly like Hoover in his older age. I guess a lot of people are upset because they came to the film hoping to see something which blatantly criticized Hoover, but Eastwood really takes more of a V for Vendetta approach ("I'll give you the situation to think about, and you decide whether you like 'em or hate 'em, ")
Hey ringworm.... watch Me, Myself and Irene.
Yeah, it's a perfect example of the kind of humor I don't find funny. Sorry buddy, but my opinion; Jim Carrey is way tiresome and I don't like him.
50/50 (2011) 8/10
8/10 (2007) 50/50
The Guard - 11/10 Oh my sweet Jesus that was hilarious, I loved this movie.
My Own Private Idaho 7.899999999.../10 Very good movie and two male prostitutes played by River Phoenix and Keanu Reeves. There's not much of a plot. This is more of a study about how these guys survive on the streets and why they live out there to begin with.
Days of Heaven (1978) 8/10 A movie with beautiful cinematography and equally as beautiful soundtrack.
Doctor Who Christmas special 9/10. Classy.
X-men: the last stand 6/10 average superhero movie
