Well, finally did it. I watched Biodome and I honest to god wish I didn't.
From a purely technical standpoint, it's not that bad. But my GOD, Pauly Shore is the most annoying cockmongler I've EVER seen in my GODDAMN life! Every single one of his lines made me almost grab a thin pointy object and drive it straight through my eardrums! It's unbelievable how someone can make a movie so horrendously unfunny.
I almost felt my brain cells dying while watching this and I feel dumber for having watched this movie.
If you ever get the urge to check out this movie, I have 2 words of advice for you.
Fucking. Don't.
So, The Big Lebowski is back on Netflix streaming (it was taken off for a few months due to the limited Blu-ray being released back in April).
Still a 10 out of fucking 10
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
7/10
It was nice.

It was a decent movie but was somewhat trippy at different points. I'd also give that movie a 7/10.
I'd highly recommend 500 Days of Summer over it though, which I would give a 10/10.

500DOS is great. Watched it a while ago.
Also, while I'm here I also watched this today
Airplane!
9/10
So many jokes. Love movies like these, satire is the best. Blazing Saddles is great too, and I really need to watch the Monty Python movies as well.
Holy Grail is the best one in my opinion, but a lot of people like Life of Brian.
I still haven't seen Meaning of Life, though. Just the opening.
Oh come to think of it, I've seen Meaning of Life. It's funny too. Not much in the way of story though that I remember.
Also, thinking of satire, Take The Money and Run is fantastic too.
For anybody who's interested in watching it.

A lot of people also considering Holy Grail the best because it's easily the most quotable.
Anyone dare me to watch the third twilight movie?
Anyone dare me to watch the third twilight movie?
I've seen it. It's probably the most boring so far really. The first was boring but at least there was mystery. The second had drama and introduced some new stuff. Third introduces nothing of any real interest and kind of just drags some stuff out that should have been tied up before. I suppose if you like the relationship drama of the series, Eclipse would be good, but otherwise it's not very good at all.
A better dare would be to get someone to go to a marathon that shows all the movies including the new one. But you wouldn't even have to dare me to do it because I'm going to one tomorrow. 4pm until sometime in the am.
I don't know what I've gotten myself into.

first one was a piece of shit, second was even worse (i couldn't watch it for more than five minutes, that's how terrible kristen stewart is) and i'll never ever touch anything twilight-related again.
I took the plunge & just watched Twilight on television.
I remember years back that in an interview Myers said something along the lines of, "It's about true love---not lust, not infatuation---true love." If the romance in Twilight is Myers' idea of true love, then she must have the maturity of a 13-year-old.
I have this one:

I want that so much now. I'll have to find some room on my walls but that is the best one I've seen.
Also Apocalypto: 8/10. Better than I thought it would be and enjoyed it a good amount. Story wasn't the most interesting but still a decent movie.

it was written for twelve year-olds..

But it's so memorable! Oppression, bunny monsters, anthrax, favorite colors, ni-saying, what's not to like?

To me the romantic plot is just fantasy Wuthering Heights. You have the one you feel passionately about versus the sensible decision.
If I had to get in on that team business I'd be team Jacob, because he isn't going to kill her and ruin her life. I'm a practical person like that. But passion will always triumph over common sense in these things.
Though both of them are actually bad decisions but whatever.

well it sounds like you really want to anyway and you're just looking for an excuse to go see it without sacrificing your masculinity so knock yourself out
Watched Seven last night.
It's brilliant. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt are both great, [sp]as is Kevin Spacey as the murderer[/sp]. It had some genuine 'thrilling' moments which is more than I can say for a lot of detective thrillers. The thought of [sp]the way the prostitute gets killed[/sp] was disturbing, but therefore effective. Some of murder scenes made me genuinely cringe, and stuff like that doesn't usually bother me much. I sort of wish the ending wasn't quite as predictable [sp]I knew something would happen to Mills' wife, and as soon as I saw the box I could tell it was her head[/sp].
8.5/10
Human Centipede 2
I think this movie transcends ratings. it is what it is. and i had a good time

No, I hated the first movie. Just want to see what it is so I can bash it more.

I preferred Holy Grail to Life of Brian too.

Watched Morning Glory
7.5/10
THE ONLY reason to watch this movie is for Harrison Ford. I watched this in the vague hope of getting a good performance by him in his older days, and he delivers. Absolutely hilarious.
However, the main female character (not Diane Keaton) is very generic and quite simply dull, reminded me of Jennifer Love-Hewitt for some reason, except more attractive.
Overall, Harrison Ford's best performance as an oldie.

I think I was kind of harsh here, she is nice in it.
Watchmen 8/10
I haven't read the comics but i had a good time. I liked the story, the characters and the visuals of this film. Nice dialogue, and it didn't get boring like my faggot friend said it would. It's a long movie but worth every minute of it. I take a point off because it's not really rewatchable and there are some strange things (for example how come the watchmen are so fucking good at fighting and breaking bones i can't understand). Well anyways, it's a comic, so overall very good movie.

the thing I found in that film, was that I think you were meant to go 'Oh that Harrison Ford, making life difficult for that poor young woman' but I was just thinking the whole time 'Jesus bitch stop fucking around with Harrison Ford and let him do his shit'

You should read the graphic novel, damn good read.
Anyone seen Easy A?, opinions? watched like 30 minutes on TV today. It was nice.
I feel like we need a chat thread.
I feel like we need a chat thread.
Yeah I've been tempted to make one. It'd be nice to talk about any bits of tv/movie news without having to make a whole thread for it.
Who all thinks I should make one?
but we chat in this thread anyway
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1
7/10
Best Twilight movie so far. Still suffers from being a Twilight movie though. Hey remember that time something happened in a Twilight movie? Oh yeah there was a blurry fight that was too fast to watch and then Bella started screaming.
At least she's a vampire now.
