It was awesome, was great to see a war movie from a German perspective once. Not all glory and victory in every single American WW2 movie, man am I sick of watching them. Then again I watched Flags Of Our Fathers right before watching this. Next up I guess I'll watch The Thin Red Line, then Das Boot
The Thin Red Line is about change your thoughts on "every American WW2 film being about victory."
Xthe whole failure to mention of Havoc [sp]being Cyclops brother.[/sp] They totally forgot about that..
Maybe because he isn't in this?
lawn mower man childhood favorite. still is awesome to this day. i think the campy-ness added to the experience. there were probably 2-3 things i found annoying though (like jobe reading brosnan's mind and assuming he called the shop to get him when he would obviously be able to tell at this point brosnan realized the folly of his ways and was only trying to help jobe as such). but the set design of the lab complex was really cool. the plot itself was kinda stephen-kingy even though it wasn't actually based on stephen king's book. i don't think the exact plot (unlocking a human's untapped psychic powers and intelligence through VR) was done yet either, it's pretty interesting in my opinion. oh yeah, and the animation is totally retro-baller i'd give it a 8.5/10
Gangs of New York 12/10
El Secreto de sus Ojos (The Secret in their Eyes) - 8/10 Great foreign crime thriller from Argentina.
The Thin Red Line is about change your thoughts on "every American WW2 film being about victory."
I've seen enough american ww2 films to be able to form an opinion. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] plus I've seen half of thin red line already, was just that I wasn't sober and I wasn't really paying much attention to it when I was watching
Last movie I watched was Kung Fu Panda 2. It really was good. Lots of charm and good action. I would say 9. For what it was it was damn good.

You're probably right, which is why I'm re watching it
I'm just rambling, don't take this as argumentative. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] Holy shit you're here.
American History X, very interesting film. 10/10
Saw a bunch of movies, 8/10
"Saw a bunch of movies" sounds like an interesting film, will check it out.
No Country For Old Men 10/10 [sp]Best ending for a modern movie in a LONG time for me[/sp]
"Saw a bunch of movies" sounds like an interesting film, will check it out.
i know right :v: it's the average rating!
I just watched X-men first class. Damn did I like that movie. Kinda want to give it a ten but nothing is perfect so I'll give it a 9.
No Country For Old Men 10/10 [sp]Best ending for a modern movie in a LONG time for me[/sp]
I would have said the same thing, [sp]then I saw The Mist[/sp]
"Paul" Simply awesome, good humour and natural, what a good comedy is supposed to be, none of this in your face forced crap where it turns dumb. Simon Pegg's performance was awesome as usual and Sigourny Weather, oh man! 9 / 10
Taken 9/10 I don't care if it's a bit on the generic action movie side, I love this movie. Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors, and he kicks so much ass in this movie.
x-men first class 7/10 good film yet nothing over the top.
Saw a bunch of movies, 8/10
Saw: A bunch of movies The boring tagline for the boxset
the boondock saints 2/10 I hate this movie with a passion
I voted you funny. That was a good joke.
I would have said the same thing, [sp]then I saw The Mist[/sp]
i just rewatched the mist and i must say besides his screaming it is the best ending evar.
X-Men: First Class I give it 7/10 For a prequel it is pretty good in visual and the story is quite good but the action sequences are brief though.
Plot
Nursery teacher Jenny and her boyfriend Steve, escape for a romantic weekend away. Steve, planning to propose, has found an idyllic setting: a remote lake enclosed by woodlands and seemingly deserted. The couple's peace is shattered when a gang of obnoxious kids encircles their campsite. The gang steals the couple's belongings and vandalizes their car leaving them completely stranded. When Steve confronts them, tempers flare and he suffers a shocking and violent attack. Fleeing for help, Jenny is subject to a brutal and relentless game of cat-and-mouse as she desperately tries to evade her young pursuers and find her way out of the woods.
Eden Lake is a horror movie from England with a breath of fresh air. Instead of re-using the same old cliches and predictable plot of horror movies, it has far more deeper meaning than you first think when you start to watch it. It criticizes the modern society in several ways, but luckily it doesn't take it too far. The movie makes you really think and leaves the viewer think answers for several questions. Would you ever believe that a person who would never want to hurt anyone or anything, can turn into a cold-hearted killer when they lose their temper and their loved one? Who's the real victim? The kids which were raised to be violent by their cold parents or the young couple who do anything to keep themselves away from the homicidal kids and escape the Eden Lake alive? Ending of the movie is very unpleasant and leaves you feel frustrated, angry, sad and anything between that. The movie itself is extremely violent, disturbing and also very emotional. Although, the violence is not overdone and it is so realistic that you can actually feel the pain by yourself. Eden Lake will not turn into actual splatter/gore movie in any part. Instead it concentrates on the psychological and emotional side of the characters. In my opinion, Eden Lake is one of the best movies and I would recommend it to anyone who can handle violent scenes involving kids torturing an adult man with a knife and adult woman stabbing a kid to death with a glass shard.
I would have said the same thing, [sp]then I saw The Mist[/sp]
Then I will have to see that. :smugdog:
Going to watch Das Boot later
The Fourth Kind. Dummy. 2/10
Super 8, 8.5, maybe a 9/10
The Adjustment Bureau, Interesting plot and intricate ways of handling various "What if" questions that arise. However, the execution was a little, lacking. Performance was good, but script was mediocre at best. Good Film, don't get me wrong, but don't expect a deep story line. 7.5 / 10
