Iron man 8.5/10 Really just a great movie, good special effects, good acting, good humor, just plain good.
The Village: 4/10 Goddammit it was marketed as a horror movie. The "monster" only appeared in two freaking scenes.
I gotta make a presentation for a movie. Which movie should i pick? Was thinking about American Psycho, The Room, Tron, Escape From New York or Evil Dead Whichhhh
evil deaaaaad
evil dead 2
The Room Give a 20 minute presentation over the memorable quotes Tommy gave us. Like "What a story Mark" or "Why, Lisa? Why, Lisa? Please talk to me, please! You are part of my life! You are everything! I could not go on without you, Lisa." A+ shit right there.
talk about the Scotchka, and the framed pictures of cutlery [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline] things to do while watching the room with friends: Cutlery on screen: throw plastic spoons at screen and yell SPOOON Unnecessarily long bridge camera pan: chant "go, go, go!" as if to cheer on the camera A cut is too late/lense out of focus: shout out "FUCK YOU TODD BARRON" (cinematographer) After any woman has said anything it's applicable to: shout "BECAUSE YOU'RE A WOMAN" (you will be surpirsed how often this works) Whenever somebody says they have to go: shout out "WHY" or "WHERE" or "YOU JUST GOT HERE" During any sex scenes with Tommy: shout "FUCK HER STOMACH" Whenever Greg Sestero is on screen: "Oh hi mark!" When Denny is accused of doing drugs: "WHAT KIND OF DRUGS ARE THEY DENNY" Exterior shot of unknown or irrelevant location "WHERE ARE WE" There's a lot more but i cbf
Alien 3 4/10
Saw Batman Begins this night. Was just as good or maybe even better than Dark Knight.
It's more spiritual and symbolic as compared to the rawness of TDK. I prefer Batman Begins but can't say ones better than the other. [editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
Begins felt pretty silly to me, like a superhero movie.
Well that's a load of arse right there.
Alien 3 4/10
See the Assembly Cut, while still not a fantastic film... it's quite a bit better than the standard edition.
See the Director's Cut.
Well it's too late now, the damage is done.
Doesn't matter how many cuts they have. Killing off Newt, bad, bad, bad.
Killing off Newt, bad, bad, bad.
Who cares, the realistic thing that would have happened in Aliens is her getting faceraped. I'm not a sick human being. :(
Buried 8/10 The movie itself was really dumb at some points, a 2 minute glow stick, a (seemed to be) forever zippo and the dumbest character in the mix of this. But it was actually quite good all in all being an entire fucking movie in a coffin.
Well that's a load of arse right there.
My personal opinion is not a load of arse.
My personal opinion is not a load of arse.
you said Batman Begins is silly because it's a superhero movie. An opinion's an opinion, but what you said was foolish. :v:
you said Batman Begins is silly because it's a superhero movie. An opinion's an opinion, but what you said was foolish. :v:
Actually I said that it felt like a superhero movie to me.
Johnny English Reborn 6/10 Not brilliant, pretty silly, but fine for a comedy. There are way better movies if you want a good laugh, though, and the first one was better.
Actually I said that it felt like a superhero movie to me.
let me get this straight... It is silly, according to you, that a BATMAN movie should feel like a superhero movie. [editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
, a formulaic Batman movie..
Yes, because Batman Begins was exactly like all the other movies with just a few things tweaked. Interesting viewpoint.
shawshank redemption, 10/10 perfect movie, and what just completes it is that morgan freeman is narrating it.
Dead Zone 7.5/10 2 more Stephen king movies to go oh and is it just a coincidence that Walken keeps talking about the book Sleepy Hollow in Dead Zone and the fact that he plays the headless horseman in the movie Sleepy hollow?
I gotta make a presentation for a movie. Which movie should i pick? Was thinking about American Psycho, The Room, Tron, Escape From New York or Evil Dead Whichhhh
Well it depends. What exactly do you have to do in this presentation?
I watched this with my father years ago, it's just as brilliant as it is now. 11/10
let me get this straight... It is silly, according to you, that a BATMAN movie should feel like a superhero movie.
What I meant was that superhero movies are usually silly and cheesy. Begins felt slightly like that for me.
Vantage Point: 8.75/10 Very enjoyable, interesting plot + twists, and it has Matthew Fox.
Robin Hood, the newest one, 7/10. Too silly. There aren't any characters you feel bad for when they die, simply because there's only one or two of them that actually have a name. I was expecting something darker, but it was still enjoyable, anyway.
War of the Servers 10/10 I literally cried at the end.
Mystery Train 9/10 This movie is actually made up of 3 interconnected shorts all taking place on the same night in the same sleazy hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. The first story is about a Japanese couple visiting the city in order to see Graceland in sun studios. The middle story is about an Italian recent widower who accidentally lands in Memphis and befriends and shares a room with another woman who has just broken up with her boyfriend. The last story tells us of her boyfriend in a drunken night out gone wrong with his brother in law and a friend. All these characters seem to have an obsession with Elvis Presley in one way or another. The ghost of Elvis actually makes a visit. I mean the actual ghost, not some sort of metaphor. Although that does apply here too. Anyway this is a very funny look at America from the point of view of outsiders and I do recommend the movie not just for Elvis fans, but for people interested in American culture as well.
batman begins owns and anybody who says otherwise can eat pavement
Pusher 9/10 Pusher 2 9/10 I love Nicholas Winding Refn
