The Fighter - 9/10 (Found Bale's performance was mesmerizing!)
The King's Speech - 10/10
Every Day - 7/10
[editline]9th June 2011[/editline]
The Disappearance of Alice Creed - 6/10 (Predictable but ok)
Drive Angry
Not much to say here, mindless action with a weird plot. Needs heavy work to make it beyond "decent". However, its Cage, so there was never a chance of it being a awesome action flick. I saw the 2D version.
7 / 10
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
10/10
Lethal Weapon 1
Driving plot is interesting, action sequences well-planned, Gary Busey being Gary Busey but certain scenes seem over-the-top.
Lethal Weapon 2
Plot now just gets weird but still believable. Final moments of the final fight are exceptionally stupid.
South African lowers his gun to wave passport at both main characters who are prepared to shoot him.
"Diplomatic Immunity!"
South African gets shot.
Limitless 9/10
Interesting concept/plot/characters. I absolutely loved this movie, the idea of having a four digit IQ really made it special. And the soundtrack was amazing aswell. This song in particular, really fitting.

The reasong it got a 9 instead of a 10, is because of the unnecessary economy talk. Most of it was just pretty confusing.

yeah one of my 2011 favs too.
Thin Red Line 8/10
Good movie, I think it went for a little long though
Funny you should say that, the original cut was six hours.
WHAT THE FUCK
Jesus christ that's massive
I did really enjoy it, and I did see what you meant about glory. I kept thinking to myself after they took the bunker, I would've beat the shit out of those japs. I would've just laid into them with the butt of my grand, my fists, anything. Anything to make them suffer
I'd beat them to death probably. Very moving film, and I did like the narration. The country voice was perfect.
Yeah there's a lot of "What Could Have Been" surrounding that movie. Bill Pullman, Mickey Rourke, over three hours of narration by Billy Bob Thornton, Adrien Brody was to carry the movie just to name a few things.
Here's a deleted scene with Rourke, though it seems roughly cut together.

"Who are you to live in these many forms?"
Love it. Watching these kinds of movies makes me feel bad about joining the infantry

Pretty sure it's been said that it will involve [sp]the little black girl whose mom got killed by the bride in the first one, in a kind of reverse revenge[/sp]
The book of Eli, pretty cool film, that Solara chick was p. hot.
A Serious Man
9/10
Hilarious... symbolic.. and it is quite a mental experience. A complete surprise as compared to seeing what's on the surface. :v:
Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance
9/10, rapidly becoming my favourite movie but still is overridden by the Alien series, and End Of Evangelion.
Every time I watch it again I like it more, Evangelion = Best organic war machine, ever. Fuck I want to pilot one so bad.

Paul
8/10
Good animation, good acting, good story.
I loved the connections to "close encounters of the third kind"
Just watched Ray after finding my dad's had it on DVD for years and never watched it. Really loved it, even though I just looked up and there are two large inaccuracies [sp]Ray Charles was never banned from performing in Georgia in real life, and his wife in the film was his second wife in real life - he'd had a child with his first wife, too.[/sp] Still, brilliant film. Jamie Foxx is great - I forgot I was watching an actor playing Ray Charles. The only other time an actor has done that to me was Frank Langella in Frost/Nixon.
9/10, really enjoyed it. I love the opening scene of the closeups.
Fight Club
Still don't think it belongs at the top of the 250 movies list
Paul 7.5/10
Death at a Funeral
8/10

You are really bad with dealing with opinions aren't you mate?
no his 'random' comment, i can't see how that movie was 'random' at all

and then hating it because of something it's not
Waking Life
10/10
All the ideas expressed and the art style :iia:
The thin red line
8/10
pretty good, it's very touching. George Clooney was in it for like 2 minutes though :v:
