Just found out the blu ray editions of the extended Lord of the Rings movies are EVEN LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL EXTENDED EDITIONS! God, I'm excited!
Oh Christ, really? I hope they update the regular DVD editions with the new stuff. :(
A Tale of Two sisters 8.5/10 Want a movie that will definitely creep the flying fuck out of you? Watch this one. Unlike most of todays horror movies, this one really gets to your mind. The only drawbacks were the sort of odd time skipping, it's really a movie you're gonna have to watch twice to fully appreciate and understand the story. This is undoubtedly the best horror movie I've watched so far.
30 Minutes or Less 7/10
Melancholia 8/10. Pretty good film actually and I don't usually like Lars von Trier's films. It's worth checking out, even if just to see the last shot of the film which is pretty beautiful.
Assault on Precinct 13 (remake) 7/10 Pretty decent movie Ethan Hawke is so good as acting as Ethan Hawke that he only acts as Ethan Hawke I'll do a rating of Brooklyn's Finest later
Children of Men 9/10 Wow. Such a good movie, cannot believe it took me this long to see it.

50/50 Gets a 40/50
8/10 Cloverfield I think its not a bad monster flick really, too much hate. It showed well the human emotions and reactions that you would expect in an event like that and also the handy came thing makes it more realistic.
Moneyball 8.8/10 one of the better movies this year, really good amazing OST as well
Scream 4 7.5/10 Was a decent movie with a few good laughs. But I think it dragged on way too long. Maybe this was them making a statement that horror movies just keep dragging on, but that doesn't make this movie any less tedious by doing it.

Millions (2004) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366777/ 8/10 The story line is good and the acting is top notch. Danny Boyle is cool too.
Tucker & Dale vs Evil 9/10.
The Holy Mountain 8/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071615/ Weird in style, but the messages are good, and i think i understood most of them.
Cowboy Bebop: Knocking On Heaven's Door 8.8/10 Feels like a long episode of the series. In a good way.
Kung Fu Panda 2 - 7.5 good animations, but got bored on the middle of the movie becouse im not 12 anymore :(.
One or two more obscure films on the page here which is an improvement on the usual "drive 10/10 batman 10/10". Yes we all know Inception is good too, all great films. Something fresh for me to check out. I saw Network a film from the 70's which was very prophetic of the way media has gone. It centers around an older TV presenter whos time is nearly up on TV due to changing tastes. He ends up going out with a bang and realises the madness of how it all works and becomes like some evangelical messenger of clarity. Strong cast, sharp story and a stinging attack on the media circus. 10/10 this film is way ahead of its time.
it's not our fault if drive, batman and inception are great films.
Guys, watch Pan's Labyrinth, or El labirinto del fauno! Its an epic tale...
Crazy, Stupid, Love 8/10

Network is such a classic.
Guys, watch Pan's Labyrinth, or El labirinto del fauno! Its an epic tale...
I thought everyone knew that already. Yes, it's an awesome movie. Just watched Tower Heist - 8/10 It's a comedy, it's funny, and it has Ben Stiller in it. Good enough for me.

Contact 8/10 While I liked the movie overall, there where two major problems: 1. The religion vs. science debates didn't contribute anything and were annoying (just my opinion, I'm sure some viewers liked them) 2. They could have very easily proven if it was all a hoax or not: * The machine obviously used technology far ahead of our time (like the door of the capsule and the light that appeared inside the machine) * They should still be receiving signals from Vega, the aliens couldn't possible have predicted when humanity would build their machine(s) and probably sent them for many more years. If it was all a hoax they could now just check if the signals definitely did not come from human-made transmitters.
Children of Men 9/10 Wow. The Prestige 10/10 Shame alot of people never heard of it
The Prestige 10/10 Shame alot of people never heard of it
I absolutely love this movie. Any Nolan movie ever: 10/10 Well, Insomnia maybe a 9.5/10. It's not as unique as his other movies.

Predators 6.5/10 Just wanted to watch it to get it out of the way. Definitely a tribute to the first one as it basically played out the same way. Wasn't as gruesome as I thought it would be, but still got a kick out of it. The ending kind of was awkward though, didn't know what to think (although the doctor totally caught me off guard).
