Mentally preparing myself for around 13 hours of movies for New Years Eve. Got this for Christmas. It shall be glorious.
Hey, I got this for Christmas as well!
The Skin I Live In. what the christ/10
did you watch the directors cut or the theatrical cut, because I genuinely liked the director's cut
Regular, but I really will never forgive that film for how tastelessly it cast aside the characters from the previous film to make itself bleaker. Also: Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows: 12.5/10 seriously the best movie I have seen since the end of the glorious move year that was 2009. Plus I got to see the TDKR and Hunger Games trailers.
will watch Half Nelson. maybe Ryan Gosling is more awesome than I realised?
Read the books. I got all of the LotR related books (LotR, Hobbit and Silmarillion) and they're absolutely amazing. I felt really sad when I finished them, because I wanted more. How's the image quality? I'm curious since it's a 2001 movie, does it look like real high res stuff or is it an upscaled DVD
I heard they fucked up the colors. FOTR has a green tint.
How's the image quality? I'm curious since it's a 2001 movie, does it look like real high res stuff or is it an upscaled DVD
Blu-ray versions of old films are almost always made from the original print, so they are the highest quality possible.
Showed my younger cousin Back to The Future, He loved it. So from him it got a 10/10
I watched Home Alone 3 on christmas yesterday because it was on TV. 2/10.
A Christmas Story 8/10, loved it when I was a kid, still love it now.
will watch Half Nelson. maybe Ryan Gosling is more awesome than I realised?
I've seen it a couple of months back on the BBC. Was pleasantly surprised. I'd say 8/10, very enjoyable movie with a great message.
watched cowboys and aliens - 7 that movie was ok, the plot was fine
Showed my younger cousin Back to The Future, He loved it. So from him it got a 10/10
He sounds promising.
Just watched part 2 of the latest Harry Potter. 6/10 It was enjoyable I guess, but full of clichés and "sawitcomingfromamileaway"s.
Just watched part 2 of the latest Harry Potter. 6/10 It was enjoyable I guess, but full of clichés and "sawitcomingfromamileaway"s.
I thought it was amazing, but mostly because Harry Potter was part of my childhood
Well, I never really liked the Harry Potter series all that much, so that plays a part in my low rating for the movie I guess... I just really didn't like the ending. The whole [sp]19 years later[/sp] thing was kinda dumb too imo. [sp]They didn't even really bother to make Harry and the others look that much older[/sp].
I don't see why you guys are complaining about the movie. They made it exactly how it was in the book.

Just tells me you can't be asked to talk about the experience of the rest.
The Skin I Live In. what the christ/10
I found it a really excellent film! wierd but excellent
Warrior 8/10 Good movie, would've been better without the PG-13 bullshit (several obvious scenes where they "blocked" out the punching and it was annoying as fuck). Tom Hardy is the perfect actor for Bane in batman.
I thought Deathly Hallows Part 2 was fucking awesome to see at the midnight screening I went to, but looking back, it was REALLY cheesy at times, making it hard to take seriously. [sp]"HARRY POTTER IS DEAD! EEEEEEEEHHEHEEEEEEH" [/sp]
MAN YOUR AVATAR DISGUSTS ME. I had to say it.
Hot Rod (2007) - 7/10 Enjoyable lighthearted comedy movie. Some of the jokes made me smile, but sometimes there were some that just made me stare at the screen asking why they even thought of those as funny. Also that redhaired chick was hot.
One of my favourite comedies ever. It's an acquired taste (which is strange since it's a stupid movie).
First time watching goodfellas and the big lebowski, 10/10 for both of them, how have i not seen them yet? wtf fuck
sherlock holmes 2, an entertaining, slick and well made popcorn movie, though some scenes were messy and I never quite got why the whole conflict started in the first place 7/10
Nitpicking one scene isn't good enough. Just tells me you can't be asked to talk about the experience of the rest.
What? I'm not nitpicking a single scene. Like I said, I didn't like the end. And by that I mean the entire thing actually, since the whole thing is a big conclusion to everything obviously :v:.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes. 8/10. The storyline is okay. James Franco, John Lithgow and Tom Felton did a great job.

The Darkest Hour The plot was pretty decent. Glad that it took place in Moscow (which no other alien invasion film I saw take place in). The characters were pretty smart for the most part (Except that British chick or the corporate douchebag with a gun). The aliens had believable weaknesses (like powering up any eletrical devices near them, negating their invisibility advantage). The sound track has a very HL2 feeling to it. All in all, it gets a solid 9/10.
Really? I've heard that movie is pretty bad.
Really? I've heard that movie is pretty bad.
Source? Also, don't EVER trust critics, they've been known to make very good movies look incredibly bad.
