Super 8 9/10
One of the better films I've seen in years. Especially for summer. My only complaint is the trademark JJ Abrams lens flare. It ruins the feeling the movie has.
I must see this Super 8 sometime.

It reminds me a lot of the classics movies, but it still has a lot inspiration from modern day movies.
I'd say it is one part Goonies, one part ET, and one part Cloverfield.
Dear Zachary: Tears/10
Running Scared: 7/10
working at a cinema has turned my dislike for the hangover 2 into a deep seeded hatred (because of how busy it's making us)
one girl walked out of the movie going "omg it had such good one liners!! "get the monkey allan!!" "FUCK THE MONKEY" " and then she giggled
and then her male friends quoted other lines, and as they walked out the door she quoted the monkey line again
euuugh people who enjoy this movie are literally the lowest bottom of the barrel form of people in the world
it makes me sick how many people go to see this retarded piece of schlock
Petty.
Relevant to the thread:
Just saw Source Code yesterday. Loved it. When I watched the trailer I didn't really buy into the whole "relive eight minutes" thing, but the film managed to "suspend my disbelief". I also liked the ending.
2001: A Space Odyssey - 9/10.
Limitless, eh 6/10. The movie was alright but glorified drug use and addiction, plus he kept getting back together with his materalistic bitch of a girlfriend.
The Iron Giant - 8/10

Are there any references to cloverfield/Slusho? Also how's the monster?
How is the sci-fi in Super 8?
Reservoir Dogs
8/10
The ending was kind of disappointing.
saw The Crazies (original) loved it 8/10 best movie to feature the slaughter of innocents
im watching tron 2 right now and ill give a proper score after but right now i have to say it's insanely annoying. the music is annoying, the characters are annoying, the giant slow motion enema is extremely annoying (seriously, it would look and flow so much better without fucking slow motion, not one part of this movie so far needed the slow motion, you could have done that slow motion part where jeff bridges evil twin hopped on the whatever bike in normal speed and it would have been better).
really the only part i like are the outfits. the tone of the movie just seems incredibly full of itself.

I didn't catch any references. The monster is [sp]a giant alien.[/sp] It's pretty freaky too.
Also the sci-fi is rather weak. The sci-fi feels a lot like ET's sci-fi.
Paul
Like a 7/10
I enjoyed it but some of the jokes were a bit too stupid and it can't compare to SotD or Hot Fuzz (although I didn't expect it to)
Shutter Island - 8/10
Good movie
tron legacy 2-3/10
predictable, bad plot, cookie cutter characters, old flynn's character was basically the dude meets tron.
might as well have been titled daft punk the movie for all i care, over rated and over hyped.
only saving graces were olivia wild and jeff bridges, even then they weren't that great in this movie.
tron legacy was just disney milking the franchise.
i dunno how i managed to sit through the whole thing.
not only that but the cgi was terrible a lot, i guess some jackoffs would say something like "hurr it's in a computerized world it's a stylistic choice". bull shit i say. they could have done better while still maintaining the style of it, look at movies like wall-e or any other pixar movie for that matter. you can tell it's cgi but it looks better than real life
A Serbian Film.
9/10, a really good movie... all things considered.
Just got the rest of the Band Of Brothers episodes and all of The Pacific from my friend :smug:
Looks like I'm going to have a busy night up to 4am :)
Kill the Irishman
8/10 Interesting Gangster-Film with good Actors and a lot to laugh
Cell 211 (watched today) 10/10 - AWESOME film!!:hellyeah:
Super 8 (just got back from cinema) - 8.5/10 - Exceptionally well-made movie in every aspect. :siren:

wat
what the hell is he saying?
I just think he is giving his opinion to which he is completely wrong
Unless he's some kind of fortune teller he could have "predicted" everything that happened in the movie.
CGI was terrible. Are. You. Fucking. Blind.
What the fuck? Seriously if you didn't like the air combat scene at the end of the movie, god dammit there is something seriously, SERIOUSLY wrong, with you.
well no, Tron Legacy was a terrible movie
Wrong again.

if he's comparing this to real life then he has some problems

It had no character depth, it had really terrible action, equally bad cgi, a really boring and uninteresting story and was just thoroughly underwhelming. Tron Legacy was not very good, most of the internet agrees with me.

they based the movie off an arcade game, I saw the shitty story as soon as I heard about it
